cree is the most amazing person ive ever seen i mean like everything about her is so pure and enriching i wish she would of came out with more albulms cause i would listen to it day and nite
Love Cree Summer, love this song, not a fan of this video. It seems like they had three different ideas and couldn't decide, so they smushed totally different chunks together.
I enjoy Cree's music because her lyrics and music is original and there's a message in her music (a storyteller). Her look is ethnic boho chic that isn't dictated by what society considers normal. Au natural! I'm lovin that large medallion finger ring.
i really dont see whats so wierd about her some one always say someone is wierd when they dress and think totally different from everyone else i dont see whats so wierd seriously shes just being her and if being her is wierd lol then you dont know the meaning of life we all our own individual so as long as it dont have anything to do with killing peolple rapeing kids or body self harm whats the problem!!!!!
@shuyuki12 I think it stems from the misconception of where she's recognized in film and television. Most actors and actresses affiliated with Cosby during dying trend of wholesome family TV couldn't escape their 'PG' persona (ie. the controversy around Lisa Bonet's sexy, gory voodoo film with Micky Rourke). I would kill for a new Cree Summer album, even if it's 11 years later. Al B Sure came back after 17 years. Anything can happen.
It's a Great album. I recieved a 4 song promo cd from Sony in the mail back in '99, but it took me years to find the album. Didn't know there was a remix of this song... This is more acoustic than the lp version.
cree summer is so underrated as an artist. shame her album didnt get the publicity it deserved. there are no messages in music today, she was ahead of her time.
I've loved Cree since a different world because she was so eclectic and unique. I bought this album like five years ago and I still enjoy it. And to some her vocals maybe a bit nasal, but to me the rhaspiness of it makes the album.
Cree's "Street Faerie" is an album which will only be appreciated by the few willing to listen. I'm old school 70's. I bought it because I wanted something different than the rap stuff.I played it again the other day when I had the blues. It was very uplifting, politically relevant and full of great musicianship. Like a lot of great musicians, talents often go unnoticed (Lenny?)
@jacksonDANCEmoves She is very nasal, and her voice can sound like nails on a chalkboard after awhile. Yet the album is great. She's not the best vocalist but does a lot of creative things vocally. Lenny Kravitz' production made the album, and you can hear him all over it.
use to be my song for this guy i fell for! he didnt see me/us as i did! i was really, really, hoping he wouldve/couldve... this song makes me sad but still love the album!
great song...this was on the Gap CD one summer we searched the playlist in the stereo to locate it. For those who worked at the Gap, you know this was part of the soundtrack that was your part time life.
so this is what it sounds like when Foxy and Susie try to sing.

It's mind-blowing to me that this album never became widely recognized.I've been listening to it for (almost)9 years and I still love every song.
