Hell is a vile, abusive, disgusting concept. God buys love & loyalty with torture? A Gandhi, Teresa, Mandela would never think of torturing their enemies, whereas a Saddam, Hitler, Stalin would. This is the company that God keeps? Karma & Rebirth is the better, non-violent way. You are not punished, nor are you simply forgiven because you groveled enough. The most important aspect of Karma is that you are held accountable for your actions, you are reborn, given another chance to make amends.
a great kirthanam composed by sri annamacharya and sung by smt m s subbulakshmi. this kirtahanam brings tears and emotion in ones eyes, which is very high in devotion,
Singing His Grace isn´t "soothing" (what is there to soothe?!), it´s elevating. God is there not only to soothe and calm, but also to love, embrace, teach, reprimand, bend, adore, punish, elevate, feed ... It is no good trying to make the Divine adjust Itself to our needs and the human condition. The Divine is the human condition per se. All else is ego: ego be the sacrifice, God is the fire.
one of my most favorite carantic songs along with 'VINNAPALU VINA VALE" MS voice is divine. I find myself wandering around Vaikuntam when I hear this song.
This song and Dolayam have special resonance for me because Vijay TV(I think) used to play this every morning before I left India for the U.S. I associate these songs with those happy days, before my Dad passed away. I always cry a little when I hear them. God bless you, justprams
Matsya Avatar. Thats the first incarnation of Bhagavan Hari. He appears during the partial annihilation of the universe and he guides the large boat of his devotee in the waters of devastation or flood that rains non stop for a hundred years. This pastime is also very shortly described by the christians and muslims but of course without Matsya Avatar mentioned.
Listening to M.S.S. is like taking a super vitamin pill. It fixes everything up in my life for that day. She is still chanting and singing in Heaven for us and maybe we can hear her in our dreams if we are lucky. Karen Yochim (Devaki)
I feel the humming vibration from this video throughout my body. It is truly a healing sound that M.S.S. sings. Everytime someone plays it healing sounds are going out into the airwaves. The culture today really needs these healing sacred sounds. Thank you so very, very much for letting us hear this. Karen Yochim (Devaki)
What a blessing that we can hear this "Nightingale of India" at a click of the computer! The modern world is not so bad after all. Devaki (Karen Yochim)
To Prabuj2k: Notice when you are done playing a stringed instrument how the strings will still vibrate. When a chant is finished, you can still feel the frequencies in yr body because we are an instrument too! For example, our eardrums vibrate when we hear sounds. This particular chanting is on wonderful frequencies. Very healing. Devaki
To Prabuj2k: You notice vibrations in yr body because of the frequencies of the chanting. These frequencies from Hindu chanting are healing, and balance out everything in our life. We are helping everyone around us with these frequencies when we listen to Hindu chanting every day. The chants stay with us and as a result our inner frequency remains healing and in balance all day. Karen Yochim (Devaki)
"Oh, Auspicious Narayana, I seek shelter at your feet.
Oh, one whose wife is Kamala (Lakshmi sitting on lotus), having the face of a lotus, one who tends lotus, one who likes lotus, one with eyes like lotus, one in lotus posture, one who rides the eagle Garuda, Oh, one with a lotus on his navel, I seek your lotus feet.

there are dimensions which r untouched by the 5 senses and mind(also), the source is considered as avyaktham (empty) and the world we see is an iota of the low energy of the god if at all one.
The life by itself is more beautiful and enticing than we are really trying very hard everyday and r bound to know at the end of life that u hav not attained happiness with the material needs fullfilled.
my only desire.....to be able to listen to this constantly... through the rest of my life....and pass away....listening to the song....with the the song on my lips.....cna't ask for more
Hii people in pain and grief,if u feel something or somebody has gone away from u..means..the ultimate everythig and everyone Paramapurusha is very much for u and with u....just bow to his padam(feet)..
Fish (matsya) to tortoise (kurma) to boar (varaha) to flesh eating lion (narasimha) to chimpanzee to half man (vamana)to savage (parashurama)to arrow shooting man (rama)to a man who uses his brain (krishna) to what we are today trying to lead peaceful lives as emulated by Buddha
Also read the Chapter 5 of Sri Vishnu Puran , you can conclude that the theory proposed by Darwin et. al was borrowed or copied from ancient Hindu literature .
Until you read chapter 10 of the Bhagavad-Gita, a work accepted by all members of the Varna Ashram System/Brahma Sampradaya or Hindu, then please keep quiet. Within the first few verses Krishna clearly states. "I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who know this perfectly engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts." Bhagavad-Gita Chp 10 verse 8
Before you make silly comments read and understand the Vedas.
Hindus believe all 10 avtars and vishnu are one and the same. Whether Krishna comes from Vishnu or whether he is the 1st avtar or 2nd or last doesn't matter. That verse you cited holds true to all avtars including Vishnu. Avtar essentially means nothing buy different versions of The Supreme at different times.
good job.. i really adore Lord Vishnu through this song. He has always been my companion during my tough and easy times. And MSS has put devation into it more beautifully. Kepp up the job..
Very nice. However the eighth incarnation is Balaram or Haladhara. Krsna is not an incarnation of Narayana. He is Avatari ,The scource of all incarnations. Oh Keshava ,Krsna , You descend in these ten incarnations.
O Kesava!, in the form of Balarama, the bearer of the plough! You wear on your radiant body a garment of the color of the cloud, blue like the Yamuna river, flowing as if in fear of your plough! O Kesava! You assumed the form of Balarama. Hail Hari! Lord of the universe.
So Jayadeva Goswami is glorifiying Balaram as the avatara of Lord Krisha, Kesava.
I dont think gettuff2 is wrong, the thing is he may belong to different section of Vaishnavism, so what if krishna is the avatari or and avatar?. there are so many different types of vaishnavism, like madhva, pushti, srivaishnavism, nimbarka, gaudiya etc. the main goal is to worship god, does not matter if the god is krishna or vishnu, the end is the important to all of us.
According to the original vedic shastra..before your Gaudiya/ISKON speculations and concoctions came in, it says that Narayana is the first. Ramanujacharya and all of the vaishnavas before he, said Narayana is First, and Krishna is an avatara.
What you are saying is Gaudiya/ISKON speculation and 15th century concoctions. According to the original vedic shastra and Ramanujacharya and Vaishnavas before him; Narayana in Vaikunta is the First and Krishna is a vibhava avatara form of Narayana. This Gaudiya belief is only within your own cult and NOT accepted within Traditional Vaishnavism or the rest of Hinduism.
i am not gaudiya but i think i am closer to sri vaishnavas i venerate Shri Ramanuja, Nigamantha Desikar, Manavala Mahamuni, but that still does not mean that i would go around saying other mutts understanding are concoctions, why are you being harsh, by them saying whether krisha is an avatar or avatari wouldnt impede you on your path to salvation. Remember when each of us standing and face god, we all see a part of him which may be different to others but it is still valid view point
Lord Narayana and Lord Krishna are one and the same and manifestations of each other,
Krishna came on this earth to allow us to surrender onto his lotus feet, a devotee of Krishna may worship him and him only, there are no conoctions as such as this is a consistent theme within the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Govinda is the first and true manifestation to his devotees,
you claim that this is 15 th century conoctions however this is not true for millenias hindus all over have surrendered to bhagavan
How beautiful! My salutations to Sri Annamacharya for this verse. An immaculate raaga bowli rendition by MS. What devotion in her voice! BTW, watching the slideshow, you may want to use them for the Dasavathara stotram (pralayapa yodhi jale Keshava...) by Sri Jayadeva, sung by MS. Do you have the song?
