  • Thank you for sharing this amazing song! I can hear it again and again.

  • I just love his voice. How he can turn a Rockabilly song into his own like this. This man IS a genius with a velvet voice. He always researhed his material and NEVER got a lyric wrong from the original writers.

    mIKEY XX

  • Me too Haruki Murakami =)

  • Natalie's dad, doing this thing. I have been a fan of Mr. Cole since I was a kid and at 50 plus years old I am still a fan.

  • I choose this song to be the motto of my life

  • Murakami is also the reason for me

  • Am here because of Murakami :)

  • @audmraz same here lol

  • @audmraz What or who is Murakami?

  • @bob2bobert2bobertson Haruki Murakami is a japanese writer... he wrote "south of the border, west of the sun". very touching novel about the reunion of two lost lovers when their lives are already done.

this song appears many times around the novel

if you have the chance, read it :)

  • @Sandarachan Oh cool

  • @bob2bobert2bobertson Japanese author as nicely explained by @Sandarachan :-)

  • @audmraz me too

  • @audmraz I just picked up the book and got to page 12 and had to look it up. Lol I thought I was the only one

  • I love this song so much that I remember when I was in High school. Thabks for posting.

  • AAAAAAAAAAWESOME

  • Deep :D

  • I decide that I have to once hear this one in my life (I'm 19 now) cause I've finished reading "south of the border, west of the sun" of Murakami.... this moment, hearing this melody, I think of Shimamoto's living room, where she was listening this song with Hajime...

  • I miss you papa....

  • And they thought that the place that's "South of the border" was a perfect world.

They didn't know that it was Mexico.

Murakami is a two-handed living genius. The kind of genius that is born once at a century.

  • @tandatokita :) ha ha,my story is the same:) found this song, after reading "south of the border"..beautiful song and a very good book,i would say ...

  • @terry1919 Ralph Marterie did have a hit version of this song, an instrumental, at about the same time as Nat King Cole's.
