Yes I recommend the upgrade I got it when it first came out paid like $375.00 for it but now you can find it for $199.00 on ebay had it for over a year and still works like it did on day one and if it breaks Im going out the next day and buying the same one.
The cross fader is nice I got no compliance on this mixer at the time I was looking to get a kaoss pad and seen this mixer what more can you want a mixer with a built in kaoss pad cant go wrong the only thing I do have to advise you on is that it is a bit on the big side for a 2 channel mixer so take that into consideration if you use CD players and have a small case it might not fit in the case. The case you see it in now I hade to break one side to get it in.
i use vinyl, and my pioneer 707 is big too :P but i need effects without taking out more equipment to gigs. i think it is a good mixer and i'm thinging of getting one next month.

that is the Ron Brown-Pop champage instrumental i got it off a instrumental mix CD im pretty shore you can go online and get a CD from a mixtape website.And the korg mixer is nice I like it I used just one FX one that video but it has like 100 more.Good luck on getting all you equipment together dont rush save up and get the good stuff .I just got a VCI 300 and love it I got video up take a look if you havent .

nice lil' mix. I've used the korg kaoss mixer km2 for like 8 years. It finally gave up on me. cost me
$250 to fix then broke again a week later. thinking about the km202 or maybe even a km402. these korg mixers are gem.
