Cut the pipes off at the back axle and turn em down....I had a 2 door 1999 tahoe and at first had tips out the back...decided to cut em off and turn them down and they sounded way more badass
@stpsntchn a very different story where I am. Usually, the lift kit is cheaper than the installation. Have you checked out my truck man? I'll be puttin up a new video soon, with a much louder sound to it.
Go back to the original doorhandles or color match them and also replace the tailights back to the original. Those 2 items make it look cheap. I would suggest not to even think about putting on the fake plastic chrome stick on airvents on the hood.

The truck is hella clean, but the pipes sound like a log truck back in the woods drowning out the beat in the back, never do that!!! flow masters 2chambers with duals, yo joint will sound shitty (shitty is a good thang) smooth tone, but not to rough, the motor needs a lil back pressure, no hating, real talk.

there is no way you could but 33s on you tahoe. it requires a least a 4 inch lift-body or suspension. i bought 33s on my 20s and i cant put those on. forget the body lift go with suspension lifts. i have the 40 series flowmaster. it sounds deep and love it. but love the little touch ups you are doing. take off your decals and moldings. the tahoe will not look like the family suv and more. i have a 96 black yukon 4wd. but great tahoe...

Definitely check the wires on the subs first. keep the cats, if you run straights with headers and 4 in all the way back it will sound like shit with the 5.7, an x-pipe will save you some annoyance but you have to do something to 'muffle' the sound... i promise you an x pipe and a couple of resonators with straights and headers will sound louder then it is now but not annoying and rasppy-clappy-shitty!. Sounds GREAT like it is man! Nice!!!!
Those nerf bars will rot out in a couple of years if you live in a northern state where it snows. And the chrome man... way too much chrome. but the straight pipes sound good. im thinkin bout doin that to mine.
the amp could be going into protect mode if the speakers are hooked up right then make sure it is the amp there is something wrong with the power gettin to the amp or something like that i have the same problem when i turn the bass up the subs shut off get that checked

sorry i havent been on, i have been busy mudding and what not, i installed a flowmaster super flow 40 series, single 3'' inlet and dual 2.5'' outlet and then had a local muffler shop run the pipes out the back similar to yours but straight out not cowboy style. 18'' long echo tips( basic chrome tip) and its 4.5 in diameter. i have the stock 350 with a 850 double pumper edlebrock carb and edelbrock performance intake manifold. gives it about 65 extra horses and blows the new chevys off the road!
run a flowmaster and it will sound a whole lot better. i have a 1995 2dr tahoe Z71 with a torsion bar crank on the front to level out this beast to fit 285 75 16, can fit 305s, your car wont sound as much like a dodge with a 360, it will sound more like a chevy. your problems with the amps and the subs not working is simply wiring. check your wires to and from the box, then inside the box if that doesnt work, just a loose cable. i have two 15 cvr pushing 2400 a piece, battery drainer

3" flowmaster single chamber...single in and dual 2.5" out ...route exhaust to before rear tire...you will love it. Sound WAY cleaner and horsepower will go up.
I like it. Got a Z71 myself. Get a remote start for yours-you won't regret it. Yours does sound great, I have Flowmaster mufflers and it is not quite as loud. Stock stereo though, I will be upgrading it if I don't get a 2nd generation Escalade.

I would say put 40 series or the super 44 from flowmaster. the straight pipes sound angry as hell but flowmaster mufflers make it deeper and you get alot less back pressure. and the muffle is like 60 bucks on ebay
