Even though this war could have been avoided and was completely pointless, I still have huge respect for the Americans and the Aussie's who went in. They were fighting a war they didn't understand, in inhospitable jungle conditions, against a well camouflaged enemy who knew the terrain. I think these impressions are pretty darn good, as well as that epic piece of digging that is that trench.

I remember at the time I wore them they hadnt been washed in over 3 months... its the light from the Camera.. my father in fact Was attached to MACV-SOG while serving in vietnam.however,I never passed that off and said that to be him.. please pay attention to the video and description. @RonDarling12 I was at a Museum owned by Vietnam vets who graciously allowed me to climb up in the huey they had in there building and get a photo op... the one im in was a real huey gunship flown in nam and brought back. they had 3 other hueys outside,one of which was set on a mock up building with cutouts of ppl to honor the last huey out of Siagon 1975.

@invanz0 i spend time with VN veterans all the time,in fact many of my close friends are vietnam vets. ive been to the VA hospital with one many times.specifically because He asks me to go. im constantly asked by vets and friends or organizations for vets to do parades,displays,or impressions so I can inform the general public. I was personally asked by vn vets at a parade to march up front with them in the honor guard while ww2 and korea vets snubbed me and the nam vets..

And like 5 years after the last advisory was taken out of nam they had a huge parade in new york. Why did we leave the war? did Vietnamese work or something? and we even had advisers in the indochina conflict with the french(air force as well). In paris before s.e.a.t.o was signed in 1954 t ho chi minh(not his real name) asked for our help. We pretty much said go fuck yourself because france was our Catholic imperialist ww2 buddy. and the last adviser didnt leave nam till 75' when saigon was lost
@SONofAnamVet i was wrong about the draft thing because i remember reading that ww2 was 2/3 drafted and thought it was vietnam. But theres a couple reasons why the veterans didnt get federal parades. ww2 most soldiers where done their tours at the same time due to an organized draft and the length of the war, and the mission was over in europe and we were heading to Japanese area. Which was mostly fought with marines who mostly didnt serve inland in Europe.

@garym19 Last time I checked mate... the video said "Impressions" not Original in country pictures... and in fact,the fatigues wernt clean by any means.. I remember at the time I wore them they hadnt been washed in over 3 months... its the light from the Camera.. my father in fact Was attached to MACV-SOG while serving in vietnam.however,I never passed that off and said that to be him.. please pay attention to the video and description. @RonDarling12 I was at a Museum owned by Vietnam vets who graciously allowed me to climb up in the huey they had in there building and get a photo op... the one im in was a real huey gunship flown in nam and brought back. they had 3 other hueys outside,one of which was set on a mock up building with cutouts of ppl to honor the last huey out of Siagon 1975.

Im finishing up my impression, a basic US Army grunt from 1967-68, my impression though is for airsoft.
I saw alot of that stuff invanz0 was saying, he's obviously uneducated and young. Id pay him no nevermind, some people just dont get why we do what we do, and how its a sign of respect to those who fought and died during the war, we're keeping the memory alive!

@jokerswarpig It was for both...But I no longer do airsoft for reasons such as Most AS reenactors just seemed to piss me off. so ive moved on over to Blank fire....Very cool,man...I usually do an m60 gunner and or a Force Recon Marine. Im in all honesty not worried about anything hes said,thats prob why its taken me so long to get back on to utube and actually reply lol. Hell yeah man,It seems most vets I know more than appreciate just getting the uniforms and gear right,and portraying them.

@invanz0 i spend time with VN veterans all the time,in fact many of my close friends are vietnam vets. ive been to the VA hospital with one many times.specifically because He asks me to go. im constantly asked by vets and friends or organizations for vets to do parades,displays,or impressions so I can inform the general public. I was personally asked by vn vets at a parade to march up front with them in the honor guard while ww2 and korea vets snubbed me and the nam vets..

@SONofAnamVet well your kinda wrong. Because most soldiers were drafted there weren't hole units being pulled out of the war untill nixion started pulling them out. Thats when the parades started. And like 5 years after the last advisory was taken out of nam they had a huge parade in new york. If ww2 was covered the same way Vietnam was (media wise) you would have more protests. because of people like you people profit off the dead of the war by selling you toy gun replicas and cloths. how sad.

Why did we leave the war? did Vietnamese work or something? and we even had advisers in the indochina conflict with the french(air force as well). In paris before s.e.a.t.o was signed in 1954 t ho chi minh(not his real name) asked for our help. We pretty much said go fuck yourself because france was our Catholic imperialist ww2 buddy. and the last adviser didnt leave nam till 75' when saigon was lost

@SONofAnamVet i was wrong about the draft thing because i remember reading that ww2 was 2/3 drafted and thought it was vietnam. But theres a couple reasons why the veterans didnt get federal parades. ww2 most soldiers where done their tours at the same time due to an organized draft and the length of the war, and the mission was over in europe and we were heading to Japanese area. Which was mostly fought with marines who mostly didnt serve inland in Europe.

I lost my pictures in the Homeless War along with my Epiphone PT-130 Caballero, a good little slide guitar. Some thief didn't like it that I played "All Along the Watchtower" on it, and even less that I wrote some of my own. Lost art.

IT Honors them by enlightening the public of what Really happened in vietnam... none of that baby killer bullshit everyone believes. You go too a degree of what they went through & start to understand things. You Recreate a battle,show those that much more. Many,act out as their family members who were in the war.
