Anakru was not happy with the movie it seems. In his autobiography he has mentioned that the director did not collaborate with him at all. In his novel the character lakshmana sings carnatic claasical and the movie has used hindusthani claasical songs.

Ee pariya sobagu is first rendered by Pt. Bhimsen Joshi and then in the Carnatic style by M. Balamuralikrishna. It is in the raga Poorvi Kalyani. The rest of the songs are by Pt. Joshi. Thanks for uploading such a rare gem.
