Take note, drivers. The guy didn't swerve. If he'd run off the road, rolled the truck, or swerved into the car, it would be a preventable accident on his record. He hit the deer instead. Deer strikes are nonpreventable, according to the National Safety Council.

@factoryXperimental It's for more than just that, it's for safety. Incase the truck gets in accident, they got it on tape what happened. also can be used for road rage and people complaining on the driver the company can review the tapes to see what exactly was going on.

That happened to me once. I was passing a semi and it hit a deer at 75mph and covered most of my car and windshield with blood and chunks
