  • i've had that happen (not india) but the "how'd you like to go to _____" I have been known to say, "are you nuts? I hate travelling for work, i don't do it as much as i have- i'm usually stuffed in a conference room for 10 hours, then expected to hang out with other company a-holes. lol. but for you, congrats and travel safe! peace.

  • Super! Have a safe and successful trip!

  • Have a good safe journey..!! I would have considered it quite an adventure, but then again.. when I was little I considered it quite an adventure just going to Denmark, a very short bus and ferrytrip away from where I lived in Sweden.. :) I hope you have a great time, and that it won't be just WORK, WORK, WORK!! Have fun!! Rob

  • Doug, Thanks for the update and safe travels!!! LOL be careful when you go the the store and buy German food, you might go there next. :)

    Take care,

    Martha

  • Ha! I didn't even notice that you didn't do it RIGHT at the beginning... I'm assuming it's REALLY good when the Senior Vice President has a trip planned to somewhere and you're the person who's on his mind.. but then again i'm not sure how high up you are so if you're right there next to him it may not be so huge... anywho.. now i have to go find that India Slideshow.. it sounds amazing though.. i'm sure you're still thrilled on going...

  • LOL..no, I am not right there next to the Sr. VP. However, I've worked with him on similar projects and he was in India with me the last time I was there...so we're not strangers by any definition. And yes, I appreciate and feel honored that he picked me. And yeah, if you check out the India Slideshow..it gives a taste of the experience. Hopefully, posting some actual video from there will prove to be much better. Thanks for watching! -Doug

  • Wow, you are so lucky. :P I hope you have a wonderful time and safe trip. Take care. ~James

  • You're right..and I feel blessed to again have this experience of a lifetime...I'll try to make it as best as it can be. Thanks for the well-wishes on my trip. Be looking for "videos from India" soon! Thanks for watching, James! -Doug

  • Have a safe trip you! And try to have a bit of fun as well as work hard! I'll miss you!

    -Shawny

  • Well thank you sir! I will be around for a few more days..amidst the craziness of building my shed, tending to family stuff, working, and preparing for this big trip...my regular YouTube hours may be cut back..but not by much! lol Thanks for watching..and don't worry...I always play hard when I work hard :) -Doug

  • That a boy! :)

  • Ah that explains the name. I need to go back and watch the India slide show. I'll take time to do that later in the weekend when I'm home from the road. It looks like you are about to really show us how to make a work travel vlog. Instead of automovlog should we call it aeroplanevlog or jetsettervlog? LOL Have a great trip buddy! -jim

  • Yes, this trip could turn out to be quite the travel video. And I love the idea of having an aeroplanevlog. Of course, I'll have a driver for the duration of my trip...so I could do a "cheauffer-uh-muh-vlog"! I'll keep y'all posted. Thanks for watching, Jim! -Doug

  • Cows! Video some sacred cows.

  • Well it certainly won't be too hard to capture that on film...in fact, I have that on video already..but it's on my camcorder which I've never converted to an editable format. Surely I have some pics though. But yes, I'll look for some cow "photo opps". LOL

  • Woo hooo!

  • Dude...that is SO cool. CONGRATS!! Right now, my company won't even let me drive down to Chicago. Spending freeze all that good stuff. I know you will, but make the most of your trip! Looking fwd to the additional footage. WAY TO GO!

  • Thanks Gary! Oh believe me..if this were not a sales call for a big deal..the Dollars for travel to India would not be readily approved. However, money must be spent in order to make money..so it's one of the few times we invest in travel. And yes, I'm eager to start shooting some video while I'm there and get it posted to my channel in some fashion! Thanks again for your comment. -Doug

  • You know...in additiona to the footage of India, you should just shoot some vlogs while you're there..but with india as your back drop. That would be killer. I'll be living vicariously through you ! LOL (I am going to Minneapolis next weekend...so WHOOHOO.)

  • again? are you serious!

  • Yes, totally serious. Want to come along? Hurry, get your Indian visa!!! Quick like a bunny!

  • Sugarandlance is watching right now!! Bwahaha, I'm a stalker! =P But omg, PLEASE stay safe!! Even if it is for a week!! Hope the jet lag isn't too bad. Have FUN!! Haha, is your stove in your bedroom or something? XP

  • Sugarandlance is watching..and probably will be for another 30-40 minutes..he watches all of my videos at least 10 times..and then leaves a 3 or 4 word comment..hehehe. I'm just joking..and hoping he reads this comment. I will stay safe and I look forward to being able to post videos from the trip. LOL -is my stove in the bedroom. Actually, the computer hutch is in the kitchen so you were very close on that guess! Thanks for watching! -Doug

  • Wow... well Congrats! have FUNNNN!!! =D

  • Well thank you very much! I'll tell ya, it was "fun" the first time I went..and was the experience of a lifetime. However, having lived there for 6 months already..I can't say I'm as excited this time. On the other hand, I ALWAYS try to make the best out of any situation...so it should be fine. Thanks for watching!! -Doug

  • Yeah, totally! BTW, I love you laugh.. XD And anyway.. I don't like travelling at all.. so .. I can't share your sentiments... But yeah live it up man!

  • I am starting to think that you are not really an average white collar worker but you are an assassin for the British government. I am still putting the pieces together.

  • LMAO..hilarious. I only wish it were even close to being that glamorous. However, once you've figured out what I actually "do" for a living..let me know..I may want to adapt to it if it sounds like more fun than what I actually do! lol Thanks for watching -Doug

  • Okay, so from my previous entry, you see that I haven't yet gotten to your slide show from India. I'm hoping this weekend to get more time to do back videos. How does Darla and Kaia like this spur of the moment I'm outta here type of thing? Wow. Such short notice.

  • Darla and Kaia have learned to adjust to this kind of travel that I have to do. Usually, my "no advance warning" travel is within the U.S. and sometimes just for a couple of days. My long trips usually have at least a couple or few weeks of notice. Darla is quite the trooper while I'm away...at least from what I can tell.

  • What I'm dreading most is the 10 1/2 hour time difference...and coming back after only a week of trying to adjust to it...I will likely be bleary-eyed for 3 or so solid weeks because of this trip lol. Thanks for watching! -Doug

  • Ah yes, but it was so close. You almost got first. I may get a picture of the vegitable sprayer if I can remember to do that. I'm looking forward to taking pics and video and getting it all posted when I return! -Doug

  • I'm becoming tempted to change my name to moonedbydoug..I mean, it almost sounds the same when you say it. LOL believe me, I wish I could take some other folks with me! That would make it so much more fun. Thanks for watching. ;) -Doug

  • NOOOOOOOO!!! Mumbaidoug withdrawals are already starting! Not fair, such short notice. You need to start giving us 2 weeks notice. But I am going to be looking forward to video from there. More when I finish watching.

  • I'm already dreading the possible YouTube withdrawal while I'm away..I'm hoping I will be able to get on..but I never know. And hey, if only all business trips came with 2 weeks notice! I wish.

  • Have fun in Mumbai! Say HI To SHILPA SHETTY!!!!!

  • OMG OMG OMG...do you really know someone with that name? Um..because I had someone by that name in my training..in fact, she won the prize for scoring highest among all trainees in the class.

  • Shilpa Shetty (Tulu: ಶಿಲ್ಪ ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ) (born 8 June 1975) is a four-time Filmfare Award-nominated Indian film actress and model. Since making her debut in the film Baazigar (1993), she has appeared in nearly 50 films and made her first lead role in 1994's Aag. She currently resides at the centre of the Hindi-language film industry in Mumbai, India. Shilpa was crowned the winner of the British Celebrity Big Brother

  • Ok...apparently a common name..LOL Oh, and the hotel where I stay is in Juhu Beach...where all the Bollywood stars hang out..I'll ask the hotel staff if she ever comes in. And how cool she was on Big Brother...that's an awesome show!

  • I love all English versions of Big Brother!

    Have fun in Mumbai!

  • Hey and it's your new channel icon!

  • LOL my new channel icon? In this skimpy shirt? Oh my...I'm way too modest for that...or am I?

  • Ahaha! Never! :D

  • First?

  • Yay!!! You got first. devotions4U was a close second. LOL
