@Mario2291 Zu Heiligabend 1818 führten der Arnsdorfer Dorfschullehrer und Organist Franz Xaver Gruber und der Hilfspfarrer Joseph Mohr in der Kirche St. Nikolaus in Oberndorf bei Salzburg das Weihnachtslied Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht erstmals auf. Mohr hatte den Liedtext bereits 1816 in Mariapfarr im Lungau geschrieben. Gruber komponierte dann vor Weihnachten 1818 eine Melodie zu diesem Gedicht. Also ist es ein österreichisches Lied!

I love the Tubular Bells or Chimes Can't tell with one it is but More like Chimes. Tubular bells are some one a little off key and Chimes are smack on. Nice job Lance . Please take a look at my version of Silent Night and let me know what you think. I have added some interesting Chords. You might agree.

I bet very few people knew that this was originally meant for organ, but when Franz Gruber went to play it for the first time ever, rats had gotten into the organ and ate some of the insides, so at the last minute he had to play it on his guitar.

Truth be told, I think you and your music are a beacon of light in a dark world. Thanks for answering the call to play organ.

Thanks, honestly can't remember that far back but I had the Oboe and Celeste (8') on with a light volumne. Try using headhphones and see how nice it sounds. GOD BLESS
