  • Does anyone know the origin of the second photo showing the girl and the french soldier?

  • Who in their right mind dislikes this song, unless they accidently clicked the wrong thumb trying to "like" this video... thats my guess. Either way it's an amazing song.

  • @mitek9 Thats because the Beatles did use the start of this song. Which Django ripped off himself. It's called La Marseillaise and its the french national anthem ;)

    Django forever!

  • Isn't that the music heard in Oakwood in Lost Heaven in the PC game Mafia?

  • VIVE LA FRANCE ETERNELLE.

    DJANGO PRESIDENT.

  • waouuuuuuuuuuuuu !!!

  • @mitek9

  • A funky swingn'n collection of Django Reinhardt & Co. Total of 146 videos. Play and enjoy!

  • As heard in MAFIA (the game)!

  • Superbe ! Merci

  • Now why couldn't he try Jazzing up the American Anthem.

  • Birthday of DJANGO, sweetie¨¨¨¨

  • le jour de Gloire est pour Django

  • @BERTRAMCAT Django AND Grapelli there...Just saying!

  • vive la france ! vive DJANGOOO !!

  • @Miousic2000 yes no one could do it better anytime

  • I wonder what the Blonde looks like today?

  • Good question : she's a grandma now...

  • I wonder if that soldier ever made it back to the blonde... :)

  • @skaskunks Je crois que non... =P

    I don't think so...

  • when i first heard this song i just knew it was by Django you can't just tell by the quality of the guitar work.

  • Call me crazy,But i wish this song was in Guitar Hero

  • guitar hero sucks monkey balls. if all the douches who played it spent the same amount of time playing a REAL instrument then they we'd all be a lot better off!

  • damn echt?

  • The beginning sounds like "All You Need Is Love" anyone else hear that?

  • it's the french national hymn

  • thats cool, thank you. :)

  • Ofcourse. Because it'a a British hymn

  • o my god you're such an idiot... All you need is love starts with a bit of la marseillaise that's why... Please tell me you're five

  • Absolutely stunning. This guy is the maestro. Pity he died so young :(

  • Can anyone source the second photograph? - the girl and the soldier?

  • to jest dobra muzyka

  • What a beautiful tune. Forget all the cheesy orchestral arrangements and pseudo-soul singers, this captures the essence of the song perfectly.

  • the british recording engineers caught the full magic of his tone and projection, not to mention the stunning solo and chords. There will never be another Django, but thank God he is still alive as we speak on millions of sound systems 24 hours a day. Geocepa

  • marvelous,

    vive la France

  • I refer of course to the the unusual note at 0:22.

This happens to me at least once every day.

Stephane using that is nothing short of ingenious.

  • Stephane is so awsome. He makes something I do on accident that normally sounds horrible, into a component of his improvisation.

Fucking awsome. I'm going to try replicating that idea sometime.

  • Platypus: Yes, Stephane was superb! Grappelli was also one of the funniest people around. At around 75 yrs old he totally wrecked a hotel room during a Neo-Nazi rally in Bavaria. The police thought 'Guns 'n' Roses' had been there. Unbelievable guy. There'll never be another Reinhardt & Grappelli.

  • best of songs comes with best of games mafia

  • aahhhhhh classic mafia music

  • @airsoftking12111

How's that it became Mafia's music instead of Django's, Debussy a composer on Twilight and Beethoven's now a fu..in dog ? Not to mention a car named Picasso ... (Mafia's not bad though)
