  • Blaze that trail! I am happy to say there are a FEW more conservative comedians recently, but you are so right. Entertainment is saturated with liberal arts.

I have a friend who has created a venue for conservative artists. You should look him up and get on his internet show. JoeDanMedia

  • the reason why conservatives can't seem to be funny is because the vast majority of them are trying to put out a message first and trying to make comedy a delivery system for that message. because they have this ideological mandate they don't allow themselves to take potshots at certain targets so they keep going over old outdated material. if you take the pro-christian speeches and anti liberal rants from his show any Brad Stine routine would be 1/10 as long as it is

  • After watching the video and reading the comments, i can no longer tell the difference between sarcasm and seriousness.

  • @PossiblyAsian Conservatives arent funny bc they dont understand people. They never took the time to learn about people that are different. This guy is a perfect example of this. The joke he said of bill mahers wasn't a joke. And his joke about animals was atrocious. To be funny you have to be painfully aware of yourself as well as those around you. Its why comedians are the saddest people. Conservatives will never be funny bc they will never get it.

  • you know? your right christians and all conservitives and anyone who says anything about who or what they believe in, should just be quit and keep it to themselves. Then the non-believers can say whatever they want and control the world and show us believers that nothing really matters, that there is no such thing as love and we should'nt have faith in anyone or anything, cool great life! then we all can do whatever we want without saying were sorry and feeling bad for it? Bad Idea!

  • @ollie18066 Learn how to spell, then how to be correct in what you believe, then get money.

  • @ollie18066 you should believe in things bc of evidence not because of faith.

  • NO,this Brad punk is one of the top most arrogant assholes since..well just a knock off of the prick Denis Leary is all.Needs to lay off the barbituates or crack pipe or whatever the hell he's kicked up on!

  • Jon stewarts not funny? Yah right thats the funniest thing brad stine said

  • ...Oh and did you notice a WHITE southern conservative, a complete stereotype, is comparing himself to oppresses minorities in the 50s? What a fucking douchebag this guy is. He thinks he has suffered the same oppression that african-americans have. Has he ever considered that his is not funny and maybe that's why he gets no work?

  • @vdina3 He's NOT comparing himself to oppressed minorities. It's called an analogy, dim-wit. He's saying that conservative comics (with the exception of Foxworthy and some others) never get a chance to play in prime time. Your response illustrates exactly what he is saying. Liberals have no sense of humor! They get offended at EVERYTHING! (unless someone is slamming conservatives.) Lighten up, as Herman Cain says. and learn to laugh at yourself a little. By the way, Stine gets LOTS of work

  • ...who votes conservative because they're not smart enough to understand anything else but what the conservatives sell because the conservatives make it easy to understand so stupid people will buy it because they know the educated masses will laugh their asses off if they tried to sell it to them...

  • Of course the conservative comedian is from the south. Is it just me or does it seem like the conservative base is usually either millionaires who are punishing the middle-class or a high school drop out...

  • This guy is a fool. I guess he's never seen blue collar comedy on comedy central. There's room for conservative comedians on "liberal media". The problem is, most of them pander to a mind set the audience of these channels aren't interested in.

  • Look as you can see by my username I don't care but I dont get why conservatives in this country are discriminated'

  • OH man. 2010. This is awesome :)

  • What about Larry the cable guy, Jeff foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White, they are all conservative! There are right wing comedians that are funny, where they got this argument is beyond me.

    Jeff Foxworthy

You might be a Muslim if...

1: You have more wives than teeth.

2: You wipe your butt with your bare hand, but consider bacon unclean

3:You have nothing against women and think every man should own at least four.

4: Your cousin is president of the United States

5: You find this offensive. :)

  • @MrAnonymousization doesnt ron white drink and smoke on stage?wouldnt call him a conservative

  • What about Larry the cable guy, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White. they are all conservative.

Who said we are not funny!? These guys are more popular than any comics alive! There are funny right wing comedians out there! Where they got this argument is beyond me!

    Jeff foxworthy...

You might be a redneck if

1:You have more wives than teeth.

2: You wipe your butt with your bare hand, but consider bacon unclean.

3:You have nothing against women and think every man should own at least four.

  • Here's an idea...BE FUNNY.

  • Lol his whole statement was proved with this, how she kept cutting him off giving him little chance lol.

Anyways what i don't get is how peta i s against people eating animals but not animals eating people and they also don't care about animals eating animals i mean come on really?IMO peta makes it seem like the only meat you can eat is other people -.-, last time i checked thats cannibalism but hay you know what animals do it too

  • @shermonruler Tha truth! PETA is for mindless shallow lustful degenerates only. Like 90% of the goings-on of today. And who do we see at the forefront of it all? Women. There's no avoiding the truth.

  • @pythonmetal1 Are you blaming women?

  • @shermonruler Yes, but not solely. All people play a part in evil and corruption. Money is a huge part of it. For the love of money is the root of all evil. Women have the seductive force that it all comes down to, though, yes? Show me a handful of women who are not self-absorbed. I'll show you a whole country of men who are left out. And before it comes up, sex slaves and Muslim women? Yeah, that's so screwed up. Every rule has exceptions.

  • @pythonmetal1 I think it's more society then women themselves, even men will push women to do whatever so we guys are at fault too

  • Both sides of the political spectrum mistreat the other. Niether one is correct entirely folks, and both are guilty of attacking one another. I agree that conservatives in the media are way over the top and I don't apreciate that they put a bad face on my own views, but you know what? Its the same reason for why I don't listen to liberals who share similar views to mine.

Stop hating each other people, and try to learn from the good in both sides. Its the only way we will start to WORK.

  • There are funny libertarians but not liberals.

  • She thinks liberals can't be made fun of? Can you keep a straight face and watch Obama give a speech?

  • This guy is funny! the people who don't find him funny are the ones that are offended by him because he is right about what he says. it's funny to liberals to bash us born again CHRISTians because they don't agree with us, but they want us to "tolerate" their jokes against us, but when we joke back, we are labeled as bigots and it's scares liberals that born again CHRISTians like Brad Stine is very funny. they hate it, don't want to admit. My And Our GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST BLESS Us!

  • @JCWarriorjrf so true.

  • @AnthonyRF1996 Thanks bro, i appreciate your commeny brother. My And Our GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST BLESS You Brother(-:!

  • @JCWarriorjrf Amen!

  • @JCWarriorjrf I love how republicans and conservatives call everyone else stupid and say the only way to prove they're not is to vote republican. Oh, and why do all conservatives always bring christ into EVERYTHING. Give it a damn rest.

  • @JCWarriorjrf I may not be a conservative, but if you look at the liberal stereotype...let's say being green, that's a good one, how many liberals do you know that bring environmental issues into EVERYTHING? Not many that I know of.

  • Conservatives are just a bunch of religious wackos who want to force religion on everyone. They're all psychopathic clones who do not understand the concept of live and let live. They're threatened by everything except what they believe in so they try to force what they believe in on everyone out of fear. grow up and get a life.

  • @vdina3 I think you're seeing yourself in others actually....

  • @JCWarriorjrf because what you're doing can't even be classed as "joking back"

it just reveals how closed mindsets you have and that's pretty fucking scary...

  • @JCWarriorjrf liberal comedians are comedians first and foremost. their world view informs their comedy, but does not rule it. conversely, a "christian" comedian is ruled by his beliefs and is therefore a slave to their worldview. if you are a real capitalist, which most conservatives believe they are, you will let the market decide what is funny by allowing the cream to rise to the top. i mean, you do have the blue-collar guys, what more do you need?

  • Brad Stine, God's Comic, is thriving in America by the grace of God and doesn't stop. Do you know why? Because he believes in the one true God and the greatest country on earth as it once was. And Liberalism is TOLERATED because we have that right to disbelieve each others religion, jobs, and even their own country. The problem is Christianity founded this country and God hasn't left, that's why when we stand in this name those who ignore him have become wussified and put us down. What happend?

  • he's just not funny.

  • Brad Stine is a master of comedy! My favorite of all time!

  • Brad Stine isn't funny. He sucks. That's why he's not offered opportunities.

  • 1. Love Brad stine agree with him religiously and politically.

    2. Can anyone explain why Fox always make jokes about themselves in The Simpsons? They're funny because althogh I'm right wing in my politics I'm not as far right as Fox, I'm just confused as to why they'd mock themselves in one of their best sitcoms.

  • i love brad stine :) and he's completely right and give me a break lady liberals are not all innocent and loving that's a lie

  • I would not want a far right version of Tiny Fey or Jon Stewart. Why? Because then such comedians would be accused of copying those comedians' styles. There are plenty of conservative comedians, it's just that most of them are Christian comics and aren't broadcast all over the news.

  • I think republicans are really funny.

Have you seen Glenn Beck, the man is a one man comedy act, keeps you entertained for hours.

Maybe my standards are low, but I find stupidity to be funny.

  • @lasoripa I agree, I love listening to hippie Libbies rant about different subjects they hold dear to their hearts. They are easy to put in their place because they are always very uneducated about the subject at hand.

  • Maybe your book just sucked......

  • LOVE YOU BRAD STINE!!! YOUR AWESOME!!!

  • a conservative in show business is like a nigger in jim crow.

  • You think Tina Fey is funny? Give me a break.

  • this guy is hilarious I rofl at his "obama BS remover" hahaha...

  • However, I looked up a few Bob Stine bits after watching this video. The bits were jokes that incorporated God, which, lets face it, is an idea more in line with the modern conservative landscape. I didn't laugh, but I thought to myself, "You know, if I accepted the premise that God exists, just really believed it with every fiber of my being, this might be funny to me." So I think the success of comedians depends on whether they have an audience that shares certain values.

  • I like Alyona, but the premise of the segment is flawed. If there are no conservative comedians, what the hell was that Blue Collar Comedy fad a few years ago? That crap was wildly successful. My gut instinct is that the whole discussion of conservative or liberal comedians is silly because humor can exist independently of politics, though it often incorporates politics for the sake of a joke.

  • I have been an avid fan of standup comedy for years. This man says he's been a comedian for 23 years and I have NEVER EVER heard of this guy until 5 minutes ago. He also seems to have glossed over P.J. O'Rourke, Dennis Miller, Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, Ron White, etc.…all conservative leaning comedians that are extremely popular and get tons of airplay. Sounds more like he's somewhat bitter that he gets no attention. Maybe he truly is just not funny.

  • @purerockfury Brad Stine is a Christian comedian!!! He is really funny!!! Jeff, and Bill, and Ron, and all those people come from a country redneck way!!! Brad Stine comes from a Christian way!!!

  • If Fox cant find enough of an audience to get the conservative comedians on the air then the free market has spoken. This conservative doesn't get that. Becks tragic "comedy" has already scared away enough sponsors.

But then, he thinks "If you limp, your lunch." is funny, That kinda crap will make a laugh track go on strike.

  • The funny conservatives aren't doing it on purpose and conservative comedians aren't funny.

  • Didn't Fox try to launch a comedy show a few years back and can the show after just a few episodes because noone on the right liked a comedy show on Fox and noone on the left thought anything in that show was even remotely funny?

  • I might be wrong, but isn't the Blue Collar Comedy gang conservative? Or at least Larry the Cable Guy and Ron White? They aren't exactly small time (even though I almost never find Larry funny and occasionally find Ron White funny).

Libertarian comedians include Pen Jillette and Drew Carey.

For the most part though, a good comedian has to be willing to make fun of themselves and conservatives rarely can take, or make, jokes about themselves.

  • LOL, someone needs to call the waaahmbulance on this guy.

  • Conservatives are only funny when they don't mean to be.

But then they are EXTREMLY funny.

  • Bill Maher joke IS funny this guy hmm not so much...

  • i think FOX news is not a good news chanel and theyre not conservatives theyre amatrers

  • I believe Dennis Miller is considered to be conservative.

  • @DoctrinaBytes He's not funny tho

  • @lordcheetah Yes true :)

  • So because there are a lot of racists, there should be racist white comedy shows? What a joke....ha ha

We make fun of conservatives because they believe crap that thinking people laugh at. Evidence is truth, not how it makes you feel.

  • For laughs nobody can beat Nancy Pelosi "we had to pass the bill so you could find out what's in it" or Harry Reid "I saved the world from a global meltdown"

  • @jscottupton +1

  • @jscottupton I got a better one from you from George Bush " I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully. " One of the dumbest quotes a Politician has said. ;)

  • As a moderate, I say this: I've yet to see a funny conservative comedian.

  • Just went to see him online - he's really not funny (youtube - dot com - /watch?v=rjpjVWWxbZA)

  • Jim Norton is conservative , i think. He's OK...

    Dennis Miller horrible.

    Glen Beck is a comedian?

  • This guy is a fucking idiot. Fox has does both news and entertainment, but the entertainment that Murdoch puts on for entertainment is liberal comedy such as the Simpsons. The thing is liberal comedians make fun of everyone including other liberals. Conservatives have personalities of taking themselves too seriously. Research shows that authoritarians in the US tend to be conservatives. Research shows that liberalism correlates to empathy & thinking outside the box which are the basis of comedy.

  • @MarmaladeINFP

Yep, Fox with Simpsons and Family Guy was the first thing I thought of, too. Although they aren't true conservatives, they are more cynical and greedy. Then again, maybe true conservative has become an oxymoron.

  • @TheGiantRobot If this guy wants to promote conservative comedy, he should act like liberal comedians. Liberal comedians will make fun of liberals. So, he should make fun of conservatives. Instead, he goes on a righteous rant. Doesn't he understand that righteous rants aren't funny? Doesn't he understand that it's because conservatives love to righteously rant that people tend to find them less humorous?

  • @MarmaladeINFP You obviously haven't seen him on youtube. You know, this is not all he's ever said in his lifetime.

  • @MarmaladeINFP do you have any peer reviewed literature that shows that conservatives tend to be more authoritarian?

  • @GrandArchitect3D Check out the work by Bob Altemeyer. BTW it's not that all conservatives are authoritarians. It's that social conservative fundamentalists tend toward authoritarianism more than any other US demographic, but this is supposedly different in other countries. Research shows that in some communist countries most authoritarians tend to be communists. So, it depends on the culture how authoritarianism will manifest. Authoritarians are followers & so they stay within social norms.

  • @MarmaladeINFP social conservatives are a small minority and the contributing factor is their religion. the other side is more dangerous because envirofascists use language to dupe their followers into believing they are saving the earth. enviro statism is more of a threat than Christians. the Christ god has made them weak and left with weeping martyrs.

  • @GrandArchitect3D Social conservatives might be shrinking in size, but they are still 11% of the population and 13% of the voters. Also, they are one of the most vocal and most influential of any demographic. They have been the base of the GOP for decades and have controlled much of the narrative of the conservative movement. Considering 96% of Americans are religious and a majority of Americans identify as conservative, social conservatives have a large potentially receptive audience.

  • @MarmaladeINFP so from this you deduce that the united states is an authoritarian country because of these people?

  • @GrandArchitect3D I never claimed to "deduce that the united states is an authoritarian country because of these people". Why did you think I made such a deduction? I never stated anything along those lines. Did you think it was implied in my comments? My original comments were about comedians and not about all Americans. I'm not sure why you asked this question.

  • @MarmaladeINFP ok just a misunderstanding.

  • @GrandArchitect3D In the US, there are very few envirofascists. Environmentalists are probably a more diverse demographic than social conservatives including liberals and conservatives, progressives and paleoc-onservatives, anarcho-primitivists and green libertarians, young activists and business entrepreneurs, college students and rural residents. The rural poor in coal mining states are strongly supportive of environmentalism, but they are hardly enviro-fascists.

  • @MarmaladeINFP why would it matter what a coal miner felt about the environment? he has no authority to shape the agenda. you think environmentalists are a diverse group. there are conservationists key word conserve who want to protect the environment then there are envirostatists who put the environment above human life. this is the majority of people in the environmentalist movement. WWF was created by some nazis for this very purpose. the coal miner knows dick about this.

  • @GrandArchitect3D You seem to want to change the discussion. What does any of this have to do with my original comments? I'm fine discussing it, but you seem to ignore what I actually have written. You asked for research and I offered you some directions in which to look. As far as I know, there is no research showing that US environmentalists are as authoritarian or as large in number as US social conservatives. If you know of such research, please share.

  • @MarmaladeINFP my point is that leftist authoritarianism comes masked in flowery language.

  • @GrandArchitect3D I partly agree that environmentalism has the potential for authoritarianism, but in the US this potential hasn't become manifest among most environmentalists. In Europe, there has been much more environmental damage & much more violent direct action by environmentalists. This hasn't happened in the US. Social conservatives have a history of bombing, arson, threats, kidnapping, beating & killing. US environmentalist activism has absolutely no history of violence against people.

  • @MarmaladeINFP enviromentalism is a global movement. what you are describing sounds like the democrat party during the kkk days.

  • @GrandArchitect3D Social conservatism isn't limited to either party. The religious right has sided with many different groups throughout US history. Some of the early populists were social conservatives. Also, how social conservatism is defined changes over time as society changes and different issues become central. Presently, most minorities tend toward social conservatism and most minorities vote Democratic, but they aren't the base of the Democratic party.

  • @MarmaladeINFP what is the base of the democrat party? are you saying that there are social conservatives on the american left?

  • @GrandArchitect3D Ya know, I was wondering that myself. I'm not sure who is the base of the Democratic party. It contains great demographic diversity. The Republican party typically has had more men than women, more blacks than whites, more social conservatives than social liberals, etc. Both parties used to have a left and right wing, but the GOP no longer does. The Dems, according to Pew data, are equally divided between people who identify as liberals, conservatives and moderates.

  • @MarmaladeINFP This diversity has force the Democratic party to promote compromise which has watered down a central narrative. The GOP gained power in recent decades by narrowing down to a single base and creating a single narrative. But even the GOP is becoming more split. The country is becoming more diverse which probably means the GOP will be forced to become more diverse. I don't know what this means for politics. Social conservatives do seem to have lost power recently.

  • @MarmaladeINFP you are clueless.

  • @GrandArchitect3D Clueless? When you asked me for research, I gave you an answer. When I asked for research, you ignored my request. I base my opinions on the facts I know. If you have different facts, then cite them.

Research shows that 'conservatives' as a general category are more prone to violence.

    benjamindavidsteele.wordpress. com/2010/10/28/violence-vs-empathy-indifference-vs-unhappiness/

    benjamindavidsteele.wordpress. com/2010/10/23/right-vs-left-personality-differences/

  • @MarmaladeINFP because the environment is a concern to all humans it makes enviromentalism such an attractive vehicle for a global tyranny.

  • @GrandArchitect3D Environment is becoming a concern to all humans, but the US has been relatively conservative in recent history & resistant to environmentalism. This is changing. As the country becomes increasingly liberal/progressive, there is an increase in environmental concern. The reason environmentalism has become a global concern is because pollution and environmental destruction has become global. Anytime a problem becomes so large, the public often responds with demand for strong govt

  • @GrandArchitect3D That said, this a topic I'm still researching and so I may learn something new. I'm presently reading Authoritarianism and Polarization in American Politics by Marc J. Hetherington and Jonathan D. Weiler. It seems like a very thorough survey of the research in this field including the work of Altemeyer, but I haven't read enough to know if it confirms or criticizes Altemeyer's conclusions. I highly recommend it if you enjoy social science.

  • @MarmaladeINFP no, liberalism is big government. the core difference in liberalism and conservatism is whether or not we can take care of ourselves. You know what other groups value big government and small freedom? communism and socialism.

  • @AnthonyRF1996 Your ignorance is astounding. However, knowing the level of ignorance among rightwingers, I shouldn't be surprised. There are liberal libertarians, liberal capitalists, liberal minarchists, liberal anti-statists, liberal primitivists, liberal isolationists, and on and on. Liberalism isn't a specific ideology, but a tendency toward openness, inclusion, and egalitarianism. The most extreme form of liberalism is anarchism. Also, libertarianism began as a socialist workers movement.

  • @MarmaladeINFP Fox News and Fox Network are two different companies managed by two different people. Rupert Murdoch is quite right-wing, but he cares more about money than ideology. Fox News purports the ideology of Roger Ailes, its chairman/president, while the Fox Network is little different from ABC, NBC, etc.

  • @SereneSatellites Fox News and Fox Network are both owned by the company News Corporation. At work, my department is managed by different people than another department and yet both departments are within the same organization. News Corporation also has upper management that manages both Fox News and Fox Network. Murdoch cares more about money not in spite of ideology but because of ideology (fiscal conservatism, neoliberalism, right-libertarianism).

  • Fox News lives off fear, comedy and fear don't mix.

  • Funny conservatives? I see them all the time! Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, all of them are hilarious!

  • @jimmycrackedcorn226

    Well played.

  • Let me shus you:

    how about Aristophanes?

  • @Jaluzaga Don't forget Duckman. We can't say he was conservative, but he sure made jokes about liberals.

  • Maybe it's because they are sick heartless bastards who want nothing but pain and destruction! Usually the butt of the jokes, don't make the jokes.

  • This guy is not funny.

And he's completely full of shit. There ain't no conspiracy, you morons.

  • There are conservative comedians. A few came out of SNL - like Dennis Miller and Victoria Jackson. They got overly political and nasty and weren't funny anymore. The Man Show was conservative (not sure if they're still on). I've heard a lot of funny jokes attacking vegetarians, hippies, pot smokers - I think that when you talk about politics, it's hard to be funny attacking liberals because they are rational, politically. The conservatives aren't, they are often insane. That's just reality.

  • Conservatives aren't funny because comedy tends to require empathy. Empathetic people are left wing. The right can do slapstick. Anything more complicated needs you to have an empathetic understanding of other people, an understanding of what makes sense, and an understanding of what's ridiculous.

  • Problem here is that this entire thing is lumping people into 2 categories, liberal (democrat) and conservative (republican), it's not that simple. It is only that way because the 2 parties like to keep it that way.

  • Fox News tried a comedy show like the Daily Show, and they failed miserably. Brad Stine is full of s**t.

  • Where are all the funny conservatives? How about we start with Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Michelle Bachmann and Sarah Palin for starters. I laugh every time I watch a clip featuring one of them.

  • @Newssnoop I don't know why you only mentioned conservative women. I know lots of conservative men who are HILARIOUS.

  • @Newssnoop

Carlin did a great job bashing the left.

    This guy is just pathetic.

  • @Newssnoop so whats so funny about them?

  • @ryry1990 It was a attempt at sarcasm.
