My mother uses one of these for her MacBook, hers had little round rubber pads on it, most of which have fallen off now. BTW, the company that makes it is called Rain Design, the product is called iLap, Rain Design also make iPod docks.

it does have an effect - i use this stand mainly in bed and i notice a huge difference when i don't use the stand as to when i do.

definitely worth buying - one of my best accessory buys!

I use this every day and wouldn't be without it - it lives in my bedroom with my macbook (i use my imac downstairs - it's fantastic - i tend not to use the cushion as often as i just rest the bottom of the stand on my belly (!) but to me it was worth every penny. It doesn't matter what position i lie in it balances perfectly - (can you tell i love it?!)

I have definitely had some wrist pain with my MB as well! Does the elevation it provides while on a desk decrease the wrist pain? I know the front pad can't be used while on a desk, but does it help just since it's elevated?? By the way great review, and thank you so much!

I recently bought this and it's great, it would be nice if it had a non-slip surface as it can scratch the bottom of the macbook (aluminium on aluminium!) if you let it slide around.

It is expensive but then again it looks a hell of a lot better than a the rest of the stands out there, and works great on your lap, on a desk or in bed.

UPDATE:Just found the little silicone pads in the box and stuck them on the stand (to line up with the feet of the MacBook, now the MB sits on these on doesn't move an inch even at 45 degrees, it doesn't touch the aluminium now. This has turned a very good stand into a great one!

if your keys do not light up then you have got the 2.0ghz model however she has the 2.4ghz model that has a keyboard that lights up.
