The SNP have done really well since they won the Scottish parliament at Holyrood in 2007, especially since they had only limited powers, they were still a minority government after all, but despite a few set back delays here and there, things have noticeably improved with SNP rule.
Just think how much better Scotland can get with proper full SNP rule....and eventual full independence,

If we were to argue Scotland's independence based on genetic DNA, then it would be Scots are not the same as English, and should therefore not be put into forced assimilation with the English.

@Alastairbell We don't know about the referendum yet, May 5th is when the elections for the Scottish government are due only, not the independence referendum.
The SNP need to win in order for there to even be a referendum on independence, because if Labour or the other parties win then they will do their utmost to block the referendum and they would have the legal right to do that in parliament.
@Alastairbell What people often forget here is that although the SNP are the main ones in charge of Scotland just now, they only have so far had a minority government, so it limits their control at Holyrood.
This is why the referendum on independence still hasn't been set in stone yet.
Labour still has some limited powers, even though the SNP are the biggest party in Scotland just now.
@Alastairbell I think the SNP have still done really well for Scotland since 2007 despite a few delays here and there, they have still kept to almost all the manifestos, remember that they have only had "minority government" status so far it should be pointed out.
Labour have had cotroll of some parts of Scotland for 50/60 years, and nothings really changed at all in many of those Labour supported areas.

@Alastairbell, I think it is pretty clear what the Economical situation would have been if Scotland got its independence before this Recession in 2008-09. Scotland's main banks needed over 100 billion pounds to bail them out, but Scotland's GDP is only 87 billion, in the case if Scotland was Independent before this Recession then by no means could Scotland have saved its own banks, this would then lead to Scotland being bankrupt. It is clear, Scotland is securer in the United Kingdom.
@Alastairbell, Even if this Recession never happened you get these sorts of global and internal recessions all the time, Scotland has some major banks which clearly it can't afford to keep hold of on its own, since Scotland's economy is basically built on banks and Edinburgh being a finical sector it is only fair that we put the peoples interests first when I say Economically speaking we are much safer as part of the UK, not to mention the civil unrest of Scotland would have went bankrupt!

The Liberals and Tories are tackling the deficit faster so we should see more jobs in around 3 years when the banks are not as scared to lend and the Economy start making reasonable growth, right now there are no jobs because of slow growth the economy just coming out Recession.

The SNP have done really well since they won the Scottish parliament at Holyrood in 2007, especially since they had only limited powers, they were still a minority government after all, but despite a few set back delays here and there, things have noticeably improved with SNP rule.

If we were to argue Scotland's independence based on genetic DNA, then it would be Scots are not the same as English, and should therefore not be put into forced assimilation with the English.
As genetics prove, Scots largely descend from the native Picts
(here before even the Celts), and long before the English, who came in after the Romans left.
But that's just one arguement, the main one being that Scotland would greatly benefit with independence, and it's now proved.

Otherwise if you vote Labour, they can easily block any referendum vote,
they have the legal power to do that.

The SNP need to win in order for there to even be a referendum on independence, because if Labour or the other parties win then they will do their utmost to block the referendum and they would have the legal right to do that in parliament.

This is why the referendum on independence still hasn't been set in stone yet.
Labour still has some limited powers, even though the SNP are the biggest party in Scotland just now.

At least SNP will give you the choice on independence and the EU.

Scotland's main banks needed over 100 billion pounds to bail them out, but Scotland's GDP is only 87 billion, in the case if Scotland was Independent before this Recession then by no means could Scotland have saved its own banks, this would then lead to Scotland being bankrupt. It is clear, Scotland is securer in the United Kingdom.

@Alastairbell, If Scottish people are not living in Scotland they are not paying taxes towards the Scottish parliament there for have no say in Scottish matters, they are treated the exact same was as an English tax payer is treated. I will stress that there is no benefits for a Scottish person living in England to vote on "Scottish affairs". It's only right that you contribute taxes to the Scottish parliament in order for you to be able to vote in elections and referendums. Yes it's very fair.
