  • Are you goin to buy FRM100TR??

  • I wish I could play this as badly as you ;) still awesome dude!

  • Nice one !

  • How the hell can you pick like that? I try to play technical difficulties, but it is so bad.

  • Man! you have all the Paul Gilbert guitars? jaja awesome! exelente playing mate, and you can tall me the equalization that u using? please answer me! :S

Sorry for my bad english i'm from México! :D

  • Absolutely phenomenal mate! :)

  • gosh the fireman is such an awesome guitar

  • Sounds like you were pedal dancing. :D Great cover! Going to get the new Fireman when it comes out?

  • really cool man )and really clean sound!

  • Oh wow... I just realized this was a Cover. I thought by the title you were the composer. Still nice job anyway.

  • Killer stuff man!! i heard some 1004 licks in there ;) Hey, if malmsteen can get away with it so can we...lol

  • Hey remy what were the settings for fuzz universe on the airplane flanger :-)

  • 6:18... WTH? lol

  • wow how many of paul gilberts signature guitars do you have ??

  • Incredibly fast! Wow!

  • Well done I´m practising this one too. But I wish I had your talent.......and your money!!!

  • I´m often asking myself "where the fuck those guys always got the money for their gear!!???" That are guitars for over 10000 bucks!!! Alone the fireman is about 7000?

What do i wrong that i couldnt even afford an simple good amplifier??????

  • You're a really great player! Very shreddy for sure, but my question to you is: do you have any original compositions? I checked out your channel, and I didn't see any in your uploads, but I'd love to hear some if you do!

  • This video would have been much better if you had some backingtrack...

  • Sweet video, even though there are some mistakes! More or less even more so because of the mistakes!

I've a question though, concerning Picking. On an ascending run (3 notes/string) I've noticed I use a more economy style of picking, Down, Up, Down, Down. On descending runs however, I use the alternate picking version (Down, up, down, Up). Should I keep it as it is, or should I go for learning strict alternate/economy picking? If answering, thank you, and good luck with the guitar!

  • @Xaederaz Hmmm...

Well Picking wise, just use what works for you! Everyone is different!

I use only alternate picking , so the sound will always be consistant and the same.

  • dude you have an awesome uniqe style i loved that rythem you were doin send me a friend request if you like shees teach me some stuff lol

  • Perfect !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are excellent ! Great

  • wow 126 likes to 0 dislikes, well it was anyway before i decided to be a complete nob and dislike it for no reason what so ever

  • hands down Sir.. well done!!

  • If you think this sucks, Remy, I'd give a lot of money to be able to suck as much as this. :)

  • Obviously fake...

I cant play it yet (soon :D ) so its fake right? haha

  • PERFECT BITCHH

  • I think someone has photoshopped some dudes face over Paul Gilbert!! Great job man! Fireman definately sounds best out of your guitars!

  • Very hard to sound good without backing. Great job! I woudn't be unhappy at all if I played at this level.

  • Excellent!!!!! Man just I think that you dont copy to other guitarist in my opinion

Greetings and peace and LOve !!!

  • excellent video! damn that's an accurate picking hand, anything you did in particular to get it up to that speed/accuracy?

  • this shit is endless...and when i see another person trying to play pg stuff is when i realize how difficult his stuff is... well done...nice job

  • you need more distortion or fuzz

    but still amazing cover!!

  • what pedals do u run on your board? besides the airplane flanger

  • What's going on, Remy? I'm a pretty big fan of your videos and enjoy seeing you rock some PG covers. I have one question though and if you prefer to not answer it, that's fine... What do you do for a living? I mean, everyone who watches your videos or knows about Paul Gilbert knows that the Fireman is a $6,000 guitar. That, and your Engl Powerball half-stack is around $3,000 also. What do you do that lets you get equipment like that? Just curious.

  • Great job as always Remy! Out of all the P.G. Instruction DVD's,which one do you most recommend? Happy Holidays!

  • 301 is better than FRM1.

  • you are so bravo!!!can u sent me the tab for this one??? , juz the first 2 minute of the video...

  • you are so bravo!!!and also u are so rich ...... do u collected all pg guitar??haha

  • Hey rem long time dude! Loved the cover thinking about learning it lol but Uh I was

Thinking about picking up an airplane flanger

Or what was that other pedal you used when u pulled out ur PGM100? awesome playing!

  • 4,9/5 :)

  • hey remy what do you have your airplane flanger settings on

  • Could you cover Dont Rain on My Firewood? :D

  • any tips on how to play that really fast run in 1:30? :).

  • @4everRock666

I am using economy picking. Just always switch string with a downstroke. And I use my thumb to switch. But I'm not the guy in the vid so.

    Good video!

  • amazing cover man! im thinking about learning this song acctually :)

extremely precise cover :') well done

  • congratulations

  • yeah! ! !

  • i see...you have bunch of PGM's and a fireman...good for you...-.-

you could play all of that on one guitar...no? whats the point?

  • good to see a cover after all those extensive lessons :D

    A+ dude :D

  • good one!! I have a question: if you are alternate picking and you play a pull off right after a down stroke.does another down stroke follow after that pull of or do you just alternate pick all the way....I seem to have trouble coordinating at over 120 bpm...I'd like to make sure I'm practicing the right way, even if I'm not really sure there is one:::

Thanx Remy ,keep on rocking...and editing

  • @cyberflea07 Hi! It kinda depends on what I'm doing I guess...

Basically if the next note is on a lower string after a or a bunch of Pull-offs , then it's a down-stroke.If I only have one note on my high e-string and the rest is on b/gstring played, then the 1 note on my high e will always be a UP-Stroke! Good luck

  • @remyhansen thanx Remy...though I didn't explain my self well! I meant while playing on the same string...Eg: if I pull off or hammer on,after an up or down stroke, does that pull off or hammer on substitute the next alternate picking stroke, thus making it two consecutive down or up strokes in an alternate picking sequence... ?

Shit! this is hard to explain,I hope you get what I mean.

    thanks again man

  • what is the 4th guitar you used? is it also an Ibanez? very very very nice video btw, you're totaly awesom!

  • Dude, this is GREAT ! Word up dude.

  • Remy, you are so good... Are you just as talented as Paul Gilbert? Well anyway i was wondering do you know any theory, or any of the modes?

  • @stratocaster60096 Thank you very much for your encouraging words!

Yeah ,I know music theory. I read a lot about it! I don't really read notes though:-(

  • @remyhansen Just curious, sorry to bother you but how did you learn it?

  • @remyhansen you dont read notes? can you explain to me what to like., practice read learn in order to play stuff like this? this is what i dont understand:) very good cover:D

  • @icemanbenito Hey there, No, I don't/ can't read notes! But I DO know what I play:-)

Scale / Chord wise , and the theory behind it!I learned so much in the 80ties/nineties, by picking up either Guitar world magazine or Guitar for the practising musician!

    Nowadays there's Guitar Techniques/ Total guitar !

    Best,

    Remy

  • @remyhansen In all honesty, Remy- reading music sheets is actually more complicated than tabs, or at least that's my opinion, because I always get confused as to which octave is which on these sheets. Did you know that on average, these instrumental rock tracks we listen to are almost ENTIRELY played ABOVE the Treble Clef? It's absurd, they might as well make a new clef for us with how much we play on the Ledger octaves.

Imo, Learn tabs first. learn to read Sheet music, but dont depend on it!

  • @ShadowLancer128 Hi! Actually , I use a lot of Tablature to work stuff out and for teaching! I just don't give out my own " personal" tablature to just anyone who asks on the internet:-)

I Use it a lot for teaching too! Like you said, it's waaay easier to write down in what position to play certain stuff!

I just never learned to read or write notes! Maybe i will in the near future!

Thanks for your words my Friend!

  • this is just awesome!

  • Unbelievable cover of an amazing song. And to have gotten this down so fast after it came out, you are truly a beast.

  • Why does the fireman sound fuller than the humbuckers...this makes no sense lol =p

  • Pretty damn cool Remy!!!

  • that's great my friend!

  • Absolutely great!

  • I WANT THAT GUITARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! haha. great video, great playing pal!!

  • I WANT THAT GUITARRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! haha. great video, great playing pal!!

  • How did you manage to keep the same tempo after switching guitars? O.o

  • WOW dude i have been waiting for u to upload this, its fuking amazing !

    well done man !!

  • That was incredible Remy!!! The best way to get around the transitions is play the whole song through with every guitar and then you would be able to make them flow easier because you could choose the best time to put the cut in! Love the ending, absolutely monstrous!

  • which songs are you playing in the video? or is it just an impro? :D

  • You nailed it there! AWESOME! Was that the Airplane at 3:24? Paul's new album is amazing. I'm looking foward to you putting some other pieces from it onto YouTube (no pressure of course). But not as much as I'm looking forward to seeing Paul perform live in November. Thanks Remy. Keep on rocking!

  • Very very good Remy.

    I like the Fireman's sound !!

  • @jerometkd Thanks Jerome! Me Too!:-)

  • @remyhansen Yep, I'm diggin' the sound of the Fireman too. I never expected the single coils to sound that meaty! Beautiful guitar.

  • BADASS

  • AMAZING! Remy, I'm in awe as always. It was cool hearing the different sounds from the PGM's too. :) Incredibly playing mate, my ming is blown.

  • Awesome job as always Remy :D Man.. i want that Fireman...

  • hot dang!

  • 6.20

    "...The hell?"

  • @moooocat I was lost there for a second:-)

  • wow! you must have worked on this really hard, you did an amazing job man.

  • Very good you're an excellent musician !

  • Very nice!

Instrumentale cd's vinden in mijn omgeving is echt verschrikkelijk, dus wens me maar succes :p.

    Sebastiaan

  • God like!

  • nice, even with pedal switching

  • increible

  • That was epic. Paul should definately clock this!

  • Man, that's a tough solo ain't it!?

Will you be purchasing Paul's signature fuzz pedal when it comes out?

  • @Scaryfied I want to get it!

  • haha "something like that"

  • En hij heeft m!

  • good job man, I can't believe how good those pickups sound, they sound to big and thick to be single coils.

  • Dude, phenomenal man!!!

  • @starlinginspector Thanks man! Means a lot coming from you!

  • you nailed it!! congratulation!

  • That's SICK! man, intense tone and playing.

  • I still maintain if PG gets sick on tour... you could complete his set!

  • @lauriemonk Well I hope he doesn't get sick! But if he does, I'll be more than Happy:-)

  • super zoals altijd !

  • It must be an honor for gilbert to comment on your video....brill cover by the way.

  • Thats just awesome!keep up the good work, rock`n`roll =)

  • awesome Remy :D It's cool to hear the 2 PGMs back to back, they sound totally different, even with the single coils you can hear all that wood on the Fireman. Your alt picking is just epic \m/

  • this was awesome. you are the only guitarist that can play PG's songs well.

  • I think Paul Gilbert's face looks like =)))) when watching this :)

  • hey remy im trying to find a paul gilbert-esque tone on my 6505 could you give me some advice or what type of settings he uses thanks ::) great cover by the way aweosme guitar

  • 4:48 sounds horrible.

  • @bitchslapper12 You are listening to the sound from the strings (in a physical way) and not the sound from the amp. Just listen to the sound coming from the amp and it will sound better. Scraping really never sounds good without an amp

  • Fantastic! ^_^

  • Also btw Remy if you wanna strat editing CyberLink Power Director is a great editing program! It's cheap and awesome!

  • I'm working on this song thanks to your lesson, Remy, THANKS! Also amazing cover, best I've seen!

  • Wow! I wish I could afford one of these guitars >.<

    Awesome cover, as always ;-)

Paul would be impressed, well I am.

  • According to an interview on Ultimateguitar, com, Gilbert has been watching people trying to cover this song. That's kind of cool... and he's probably watched some of this already, lol ;)

  • @BrUSomania I Know! He told me:-)

He even made me figure out the "Big" chord in the Main Riff , 'cause it was not really correct in my Tutorial....

    Best,

    Remy

  • @remyhansen Hahaha, that's so awesome! He also mentioned the thing about "the chord no one had really figured out yet", haha. By the way... What's the chord? I still can't tell x)

  • @remyhansen wow you spoke to him! Sick vid man.

  • @remyhansen Wow. You talk to Paul regularly. Man I wish I could be you. Great cover btw, you're an amazing guitarist. Paul would be proud

  • @pandaman0529 well, It's email contact:-)

    But I'm happy he's responding!

  • Finally its up!

  • Comment removed

  • This was really cool man great work, keep 'em coming

  • YES!!! I've been dying for this cover!

  • Mooi gedaan Remy! Het gebruik van verschillende gitaren was heel origineel. Kunnen we meer covers verwachten van het "Fuzz Universe" album ?

    Groeten

    Rob

  • Sounded great. And looked like (questionable) magic.! :P
