  • its"eh kid" from the comic

  • who's that man ?

  • Too bad this scene is not in THE CROW blu ray:)

  • They should of kept this scene.

  • sounds like the skull cowboy is talking with his hands over his mouth...lol...wtf...

  • a lot of people don't know about the skull cowboy because they didn't read the graphic novel. this would have been epic if it was included! hope the remake can capture the same spirit of james o barr's vision.

  • "Choose...... Choose and be damned...."

  • Brandom Lee will be missed. He was an amazing actor and martial artist too as well. I did read that according to the comic book, The Skull Cowboy was a crow once but became a skull cowboy because he chose to stay rather then go back. The article was on the internet. Michael Berry is a perfect Skull Cowboy. It's a shame that this scene was deleted. Michael Wincott is a great villian in The Crow and other films too.

  • Who is the skull guy?

  • I prefer the way they chose to do the original. But this is awesome that you came about this! I'm still gonna have to see the 'new' remake. The only halfway decent Crow was City of Angels, but nothing will ever beat the original. RIP Brandon.

  • For me, it sounds cheesy and weird, like those Twisted Metal 1 movie endings, just doesn't fit so well in the movie.

  • why were all the scenes with the Skull Cowboy cut from the film?

  • @MusicLoverSince1998 thanks! :) when i watched the whole movie the shooting scene half of it was brandon lee and other was the unknown guy?!?!

  • why they cut that scene? i need answer plss i dont know this movie

  • @DoingFirstBRreAkdanc It was cut from the movie to avoid confusion between the fans, since the skull cowboy had never been mentioned before in the movie.

  • why was this scene cut from the film?

  • i got all 4 crow films and none of them were anywhere near as good as the 1st, infact they got worse and worse as they went on. doing a remake will just be like bringing out the crow part 5, it wont be any good. Brandon Lee was the Crow and it should of stopped there

  • I think they should have included this scene, but use Jack Palance (RIP) to do the voice. In that same token, a better ending for City of Anus, (excuse me, city of Angels) would be for Ash to become the new Skull Cowboy.

  • good thing they cut that scene.

  • what is everyone talking about? The original was epic! Brandon Lee was amazing as the crow and no remake or "big time actor" will ever top him

  • @wolfman7421 you are a fucking dumb ass i dont care who the fuck plays the part or who makes the movie they can go fuck them selfs this movie should never be remade NEVER a man died making this great movie .

  • I think the deleted scene would have given it a different story. and not to forget it would give it a feeling more of it being a comic book.

  • The Remake Won't and Never will be as excellent as the Original with Brandon Lee.

No matter how hard they try to perfect it it just won't do.

Brandon Lee did it greatly and perfected the Role exactly.

  • @311farrah Thats right. I have seen some other Crow movies, but Brandon did in Best of them all. Nobody else was made to play it better, and maybe nobody ever will.

  • @311farrah Shut up. Okay? Shut up. It's been said 1000 times already. Shut. Your. Fucking. Mouth.

  • @wolfman7421 i dont know what your whining about the movie is ten times better than the comic. plus you say its a shame he wasted his life on this. obviously he wanted to do this and loved it. he said it was his best role and was lucky to have it. plus the crow is a great movie rocks

  • His name is eh kid from the comic

  • If i may say so i think they should pull a george lucas and release a special edition of the film with all of the original scenes restored including this epicsome moment.

  • i never read the graphic novel is this character legit?

  • @shacasha Yep, the skull cowboy is a character from the book, although nowhere near a church, but then the film took the book and threw it out the window. A great shame Lee's life was wasted on this movie, it could have been so much better.

  • a lot of people don't realize if you look closely, you see a cut under eric's eye that goes across his nose. in the original comic, he got that when he was killed, shot in the back of the head

  • The SKULL COWBOY!! This is amazing! How did you manage to come by this footage?

However you did it - thank you a thousand times, mate, it's awesome! The mood of the scene is just chilling, even though it's clearly far from finished, especially in the sound department...

I would've loved to have seen this version in the actual movie :)

Hope the remake won't suck toooooo hard.

  • @CalamityCain Thanks.

I must keep my source secret. ;-)

  • @fraught : thx sooo much for ur secretcy, it would of been awesome to watch it again w/ all the deleted scenes, its jus not fair to have been cheated all these yrs! x0(

  • @fraught

I understand, don't you worry there, mate! Thank you again very much for uploading it :)

  • @fraught

Wow you must really be connected to some super secret underground archive of lost footage..........or maybe not. I don't know what you get out of denying Crow fans the possibility of adding something cool to their collection, guess it stokes your ego or something. People this deleted scene is on "The Crow: The Complete Interactive Collection". A CDRom issued in 1996 and while a tad rare now can be found on ebay. If you decide to buy it, enjoy.

  • @CalamityCain It's from the 2-disc collectors edition ;)

    Disc 2, deleted scenes.

It should have been in the final cut of the movie, it should also have been on the train when Eric met the Skull Cowboy, just after he'd seen the horse run into the barbed wire fence.... but that never made it into the film either... then again, as far as I can see, apart from the names of a few characters, and the basic premise, NOTHING of the story made it into to film, sad really as it could have been epic.

  • @wolfman7421

Yeah, well, I'm not really sure about that. I guess it never really works out, if you try and translate a comic or a book 100%, line over line and scene over scene into motion picture. Of course I miss a few things here and there, but for example making Top Dollar the main villain instead of T-Bird was an awesome idea, I think. Michael Wincott did one hell of a job there! I don't know, really, what the movie "could have been". It's one of my favourite movies, just the way it is.

  • @CalamityCain Agreed, Wincott was a great villain, but he is a great actor, shame all he generally gets is 'bad guy' roles, it'd be interesting to see him take on something where he came out the good guy for once. I know a lot of people love the movie, unfortunately, I read the book first and as soon as I saw they were making a movie of it, I knew they'd change stuff that didn't need changing. Realistically apart from the scenes in Gid's and Funboys bedroom, little of the book remained, sadly.

  • @wolfman7421

True, I really adore Wincott. Hell, I even watched Metro just causa him. And that movie really sucks balls. He IS an awesome villain. Even if he looked like a whimp his voice alone would make him more badass than many other actors could even DREAM of achieving. Yeah, I'd like to see him be the good guy, too. Doesn't mean he couldn't be badass (i.e. Taken or Punisher or something on those terms).

BTT: Guess we just have to take movie and comic different stories and enjoy both :)

  • @wolfman7421 They couldn't do the story exact to the graphic novel as the novel is a little too gruesome for live action but they had O'barr as technical input being the story writer. CGI would've cost too much.

  • @wartsdlogydna Not that gruesome although some parts are brutal.... nothing compared to some of the Saw movies though....

@chrispuncher You really ought to think before posting, or at least read and understand... I didn't say Lee was a bad actor, nor that he deserved what happened to him, just that the movie was a pale imitation of the book and that as an epitaph for someone that could have done some great films, it's not that great... As for being 10 times better than the book... dream on.

  • @wolfman7421 True, the film was good but could've been better if it had been taken on by a big budget company like the re-make which I think will fail in comparison to Lee's portrayal as he owned the part.

  • @Nevordan yeah ..kinda glad they kept this scene out it doesn't follow the comic. the dead cowboy was in his head in the comics. he played the face of eric's torment in his dreams. like the train ride scene when the horse is headed for the barbed wire. he tells eric "look away" sort of reenacting the loss of beauty like when shelly was killed. i noticed in this behind the scene footage that they had the cowboy character all done up and i was wondering why i didn't see him in the flic.

  • "you risk everything...[sounds like "my toecap is been lost"] ...."That's your story"

What does he say in the middle its been really bugging me.

  • @gramlock "i took that risk and lost"

  • it's a horror scene which was not used in the film

I thought it was a pity it's created a beautiful character, Michael Berryman to cast anything they use it. behind the scenes, you can literally see how Michael Berryman turned into the skull cowboy

Here is what guests between two narrow

  • @UgurTamer1991 the makeup and costume work were spot on to the graphc novel but i'm glad they cut it out of the movie cause it doesn't follow the comic. the dead cowboy was sort of erics torment in his flashbacks (in the novel)

  • what is this scene about?

  • @KCgrunge The skeleton guy played a role in the original graphic novel. I'm not sure how much of a role this character had in the book. I believe the skeleton was basically letting him know that he was no longer invincible and could easily be killed. But don't quote me on that though.

  • I can't believe they're making a reboot soon, which is not cool. you know what they should do is release the original film "the crow" with EXTENDED CUT SCENES or DIRECTOR'S CUT. Don't you agree?

  • @Andrew824100 yeah i mean they tried capturing what the first crow created with all the crappy sequels...do they really think a remake is going to do any better? i'm disgusted at the idea of remaking this movie.

  • This reminds me about old game called Blood by Monolith. When we start blood game we open secret place where we see empty grave and inscription "DRAVEN". And Caleb main character of game similar to skull cowboy

  • really anoyying damn!! why do they always delete important scenes!

  • wheres the skull cowboy to help Brandon Lee the actor???

  • reminds me of ghost rider

  • @stevslam There IS some Ghost Rider content in the movie. The scean where Gidion is being intaragated by Top Dollar about who blew up the pawn shop, the rock song playing in the backround is and is about Ghost Rider. "Ghost Rider motorcycle hero.........."

  • @Patrickdraven that was a song on the soundtrack by henry rollins.

  • I have the uncut version.

Skull cowboy is first seen at the start of the film,he is the one that delivers the crow to eric as he exits the grave.

  • What... There a uncut version with the Skull Cowboy throughout the picture... I only have the workprint and the theatrical cut!

  • The skull cowboy actually makes a degree of sense as there had to be some type of Death related representative in order for eric to have the abilities that he does in the film as well as, the ability to come back from the dead.

  • @multifacetedmage tbh the skull cowboy really didn't make much sense to me at all o.o

  • What was the significance of the Skull Cowboy? Since they cut it out, I'm sure there was supposed to be more. Was Eric only supposed to kill the ones that killed him and his fiance then go back?

  • @dengeist Yeah, that was the original deal. After he killed all the guys that were directly involved with Shelly and his deaths, he was supposed to go back to the grave. When Sarah was kidnapped, and he followed her to the church, that's where this scene was supposed to take place. The Skull Cowboy character was an original vigilante who, for whatever reason, didn't do his job correctly, so that's why he stops and warns Eric. At least that's how I've understood it... don't quote me on that.

  • ho o what is skull cowboy and why is he not in the movie att all

  • IF i only had a brain....thats all it looks like to is some wizard of oz shit.... Im the scarecrow, wheres my brain fuckersssss.... come on

  • I've seen this movie over 500 times, honesty!May I ask which was the scene before and after that deleted scene?

  • before----Sara was kidnapped and the crow flashed that scene to Eric's mind. After---eric is in the church and Top Dollar's dude shoots the crow.

  • thanx a lot artistictalent!!!

  • fuck youve seen it 500 times and you cant tell where this scene is in the movie? where you paying attention? ive only seen it 138 times and i figured it out dumbass

  • Excuse my crap spelling etc, bourbon does that lol

  • I wish more people would apologize for bad spelling on the Internet. I'll drink to that.

  • To me the death of Brandon was a tragidy because even if he didnt die, this movie would have have a classic, it was a pity though he did go and so we there are sequels of a far lesser calibre. Awesome movie through and through, Im a huge fan of Brandon and think it would have been awesome to see him enjoy the success this film would have given him.

  • @mrrobblack My sentiments exactly! His performance in this movie is awesome - in my opinion maybe better than Heath Ledger as the Joker. This film would have made him huge, and just think of the movies made since which could have been so different with him as leading man. Tragedy.

  • this is on the DVD of the crow and so is james obarr he talks about his life and how he got started drawring, it's sad his story but there's always hope.

  • pretty good movie

  • i totally agree. brandon lee and the plot of the crow are incredible indeed. at least you are talking about the movie and not all this other crud-that is kick ass and i thank you for that.

  • It looks cool, but if they kept that in then it is like the Ghost Rider movie demon making a deal kind of thing, so then again i am glad they kept that out or else it would be over done.

  • True that....goth used to be real, badass.....not retarded emo bullshit....its called grow a pair of nuts. Brandon Lee is a total badass. We'll miss him

  • You are a low life piece of shit for making a comment like that!! May you fucking rot in hell!!

  • You can go to hell you sorry piece of shit.

  • actually there weernt any actual real bullets a lodged bullet lead and a full charge balnk combine together and as an effect the bullet tip dilodged and was shot like a full mag round and killed him...RIP BL

  • no it wasnt that part of the shootings that killed him. it was when the flashback of the gang killing him and his GF that he got shot with that one fatal bullet.

  • accualy during the part where he was shot with a bunch of guns with fakes but one was real

  • I saw this film once when I was a kid, about 15 or so years ago. I can't remember much about it but ,from the looks of it, this movie was emo before emo was cool....I'm not sure if that's a compliment or insult.

  • nope this was vintage goth back when goth was real and not watered down, mainstream and fake

  • @TOXIC00L amen

  • Aha, they did film Skull Cowboy. I read the screenplay of this after seeing this movie and wondered why they decided to take this character out.

  • Michael Massee broke his silence over the accident on extra, it was a faulty prop which he should not have been handling that day, the director changed it at last minute.

  • No disrespect, but no-way could I even imagine seeing Brandon Lee confined to a wheel-chair had he survived, that would have been even more soul-destroying to many fans out there etc.

  • They said that the doctors told them that if brandon lee survived he would be paralized for life now that is something brandon lee himself couldnt go through b/c he wanted to follow in his father footsteps.

  • That's exactly why he, just like his father, would've get up on his feet again, against all the funny odds. ;)

  • ....There's a big difference between what happened to Brandon, and being an idiot and using too much weight while doing good mornings, like what happened to Bruce.

  • huh? if he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps, wouldnt he of opted for the paralysis? since bruce was once told he's never walk again...

  • Comment removed

  • how did he was killed (hope understande my eng....im 10 and i'm not American or something like that)

  • there was an accident..at least, they call it accident. brandon was killed by a bullet that an actor (funboy in the movie) shot. they should have checked the guns but some assholes were too lazy to do so.(damn it,it freaks me out!) ..and he bleed to death till they realized that lee was shot in real.

how stupid this is,huh? just think about it,guys.a real bullet shot towards lee and he couldn't shout or let them know what happened? something's wrong with this.

  • thx a lot **subscribe to u**

  • he died after 12 hours in hospital.

please read the official version on wikipedia and then complain again.

  • 0:40 , those words on that particular shot will sum up what he says....

  • You really do know nothing. It was a fragment from a blank round that killed Lee. He died in hospital days later not "and he bleed to death till they realized that lee was shot in real". The actor that shot him was his real life best friend and the best man at his upcomming wedding. Go back to your conspricy websites.

  • Wat happen was, there were blanks, and there were live rounds, the live rounds were dismantled and the gun powder was emptied then they were put bak together again, this was done so that the camera could see the bullets in the gun "Looked" real, these so called "emptied" bullets were fired directly at the camera 6 times...a few ppl said they heard a slight pop but no one botherd to check that actual pop....propelled the lead part of the bullet, down the chamber. cont.

  • cont.pt2 ...and there it remained until that fateful day,On the day,the gun was emptied and blanks were loaded into the gun. When cameras rolled, the actor fired those blank bullets and Brandon fell, what they didnt know was that the blank bullet...had propelled that piece of lead stuck in the chamber, which in turn killed him. That is how it happened.

  • yes that's excactly it. Thank you for saving me the time to write all this. And for those that want to confirm it they can read the book Behind The Scenes by Bridget Baiss wich explains everything.

  • Yeah it had shattered his spinal chord, he was dead withhin minutes because the crew thought that he was playing around like he always did on the set.

  • you have no fucking idea what you talk of, he died the next day

  • also, small note: at shooting scenes, nobody is there to aim the gun at. ;o

  • @ImSlevin Supposedly what happened was the crew made dummy rounds by pulling the bullets out, dumping out the powder, the reinserting the bullets so they look real. However, the primers remained in the rounds and one had enough force to expel the bullet from the casing and into a barrel where it stayed. Later, when a blank with powder was fired from the gun, the bullet shot out of the barrel and into Lee. :( RIP

  • @StarryKid06 Does that seem real to you? think about it, how does a semi-automatic work. he spent gasses from the discharged casing push back the slider on the action, the ejector releases the spent shell as the bullet leaves the barrel, then the clip forces another round into the chamber and a spring pushes the slider forward and closes the action. 3 things about your statement make realism (and safety) in the movie impossible.

  • @ImSlevin i thought it was a blank fragment, not a real bullet. blanks can still kill.

  • @zaikoh08 yes, you are right. It was a blank fragment. It loged itself in his spine.

  • @glenh75 It was a real .44 calibre bullet - propelled from the barrel by a blank round behind it.

  • AND THERE WAS NO WAY OF SAVING HIM AT ALL??

  • @ALMIGHTYIGZ Unfortunately not, the bullett perfored his stomach and hitted several vital organs ldging near his spine. It was impossible to stop him bleeding :(

  • thats fucked over a Buget he died'

  • @ImSlevin Many people know that Brandon died because of an acident in he's head.

  • @johnbarkvedleirvik no head accident. Maybe you confuse Bruce Lee that was said death with cerebral aedema?

  • @zarskoeselo ye my bad he got shot i found out ^^

    R.I.P

  • @ImSlevin

    assassination

  • @ImSlevin killed by shrapnel of a blank...not a real one

  • @jackofnowhere They needed dummy rounds for the close ups of revolvers, but they didnt have any. It was either make their own or shut down production for a day, they chose to make their own. One of the bullets from the home made dummy rounds became lodged in the barrel and when they fired a blank behind it...BOOM

  • @ImSlevin wrong "Funboy scene wasn't the one that killed Brandon lee it was the one with michel wincott "Top Dollar" sene in the chruch were "Eirc" told him "give me the girl and i let you walk out of here" and thats when "Top Dollar" says " well well just give me a mintue to think about that...." walks awawy "Ah fuck it." turns and shoots eirc thats the sene that Brandon was acciendently killed

  • @angelsent94 It was the flash back scene. That scene your talking about was just rumored to be the one

  • @angelsent94 Wrong. It was in the apartment, Eric's murder by Funboy. Lee was holding a grocery bag. Check any account of the accident, Google news archive has plenty from the time and since.

  • @angelsent94 nope brandon was shot in tha abdomen not in the shoulder blade!

  • @ImSlevin Not exactly how it went down. It's in a early scene where "Funboy" fires at Brandon Lee who has just discovered his girlfriend being raped. The moment Lee was shot he fell to the ground and they knew something was wrong. Filming stopped immediately and Brandon didn't get up so they rushed over to him. Contrary to popular rumor, he was not shot during the "table scene" where 20+ people are shooting at him. The tapes of and immediately prior to the incident were destroyed supposedly

  • @ImSlevin "were too lazy" or it is simply a sabotage

what really freaks me out is to know, this 'idea of murdering' happened in a movie of his father, Bruce, which his character in the movie was an actor. some bad guys wanted to kill that actor, and he simply joined the crew to a great shot scene. (I think the name of this movie was "games of death")

even more scary is to know that there was a demon who pursues Bruce's family killing all male child (told in "The Dragon: The Bruce Lee story")

  • where would one find a list of the comics that pertain just to this one crow movie and not the sequal or trilogy?

  • Read 'The Crow- The story behind the film' by Bridget Baiss. That should answer most questions (Probably still out of print, but you could find it second hand)

  • i'm glad i saw this, i had seen the story boards for this scene and thier descripition, always wondered what it'd look like for real, sounds unfinished ofcoarse, but it's nice to finally see it, i actually happen to have a skull cowboy tattoo so naturally i'm partial to this having been added to the theatrical release...not to say the movie isn't perfect the way it is hehe, The Crow is truely a classic, the remake was a real slap in the face to Brandon Lee in my opinion, great upload! thanks!

  • remake?

  • well to be more specific it was a TV show, "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven", but i think they were better off leaving the character Eric Draven alone after the first film, i didn't like the actor for Eric in the show, and it was really cheesy...kinda shared that quality with the shows Buffy or Charmed, in the end it was nice to have more story to him outside the comic...but i think they just could've done better on the show

  • Oh yeah, I watch episodes of that on Hulu.

  • I agree they could have done better in the Crow TV show, but, come on...Buffy was not a cheesy show thankyou!

  • though i'm not much of a Buffy fan i didn't mean the entire show in my reference, mainly just some of the acting on it, there were a few characters (small roles) in particular that i believe could've been cast better

  • When the skull cowboy says "I took that risk and lost" what is it implying?

To me it sounds like he was the crow before Draven and failed his purpose.

Am I wrong or can someone explain this to me?

  • simply read the comics book...

  • he only came out three times in the comic book

  • You can see this deleted scene and a couple others in a hard to find PC game of the CROW from Kitchen Sink Press. I got it in about 1994 or 1995

  • where i can find that ??

  • Looks more like this was taken from a computer game rather than a film, if it really was from the film tho, i'm glad they did'nt include it in the film because it's crap!

  • What is that?! lol... I'm very glad that they've cut this scene out of the movie... It would've ruined the whole thing...

  • RIP Brandon Lee

  • He sounds like Butthead

  • im glad they nevere used the skull cowboy it was a pointless character. the original graphic novel the skully coboyw wasnt even a character well tbh the film and graphic novel have some smiliarites with alot changed but this movis is still a classic and ne of the ebst movies ever made in my opinion RIP brandon lee

  • Neither was Sarah and she made it into the final cut

  • Luckily this character wasn´t included in the final cut. It would have taken away the poetry between Eric and the crow by adding unnecessary over explanations as to what he was supposed to do and why

  • the skull cowboy was originally intended to be included by james obarr, but alex proyas felt that the cowboy was too supernatural and horror fantasy. read the crow: film book and it has a whole chapter on this. but i don't know why this was omitted from the deleted scenes, probably copyright problems. yet, if you watch the deleted scenes montage, you see a brief glimpse of him tapping his boot.

  • get ur facts right. this was filmed and later it was decided to be deleted and not included in the movie.

  • sorry bout that my siblings have a tendecy to not check who's signed in on youtube then randomly post and then go "oh crap i better change" big fan of crow movies myself but i hate it how they keep on commenting on videos like Teen Titans and guitar hero vids, so please ignore what they put up

  • oh, uve gone to the effort of explaning urslef :)usually ppl get into an comment argument lol . thats okai...im sorry for being a lil rude anyways =]

  • Oops. Sorry about my other remark.

  • lol np, my lil sister who's still in middle school likes to come here but often forgets to change sn's, i'm starting to just ignore the things because this was like the third one, i only took the time to explain cause i like the crow alot, but as for other stupid vids i just ignore them cause i could care less

  • randomperson10101 = idiot.

  • I'd love to see the deleted scenes in their entirety, and see them in a version of the film preferably. Also, although I'm intriued by the idea that he was 'breaking the rules of coming back' the Skull Cowboy bit seems a little hokey to me.

  • whats with the audio?

  • ma vaffanculo!

  • Who is the Skull cowboy? Is that character from the comic books? I didn't see him anywhere in the film.

  • i think there are 3 scenes with the skull cowboy , the one on the begining, one after Eric kill funboy he play guittar on the roof by night and here the skull come for he and finaly this one.

Sorry for this language am morroccan and i don't speak very good english only a very good french.

  • I'm really glad Proyas cut this scene from the movie...seems quite pedantic to me.

And yes, Brandon's death was an accident, not a conspiracy.
