I have owned this for 2 years and the power supply finally gave way from the motherboard. It was a great PC-the resolution is better then many of the best notebooks currently -June 09. The rest is quite obsolete by todays standards though- 2GB of RAM is still good-most over $1k now have 4GB though. 120GB memory is small- most 320GB -500GB. The videdo card on here isn't strng enugh for any of the better games. This was a great PC back in 2007. I still might try and save it as a 2nd.

I own this laptop and it takes a beating with my busy lifestyle. I use it at home and on the road. Great sound and picture and I love the DVD burner. The only knock is that it can run hot on ocassion if you have a lot of apps open. Also the battery life is below average. I highly recommend it if you are considering it for purchase.

Within 3 months of purchasing TOSHIBA Portege M600 Notebook from HCL (under 3 year extended global warranty for which extra money is paid), inner layer of LCD screen broken while doing usual work, without any mishandling.

Toshiba concluded the matter saying mishandling as cause of damage without any technical investigation of notebook". Toshiba is not interested to find out the cause of damage as they are prejudice.
