I get chills and tears in my eyes every time I hear and watch Elvis. And i am only 17, Its AMAZING how someone from 30-50 years ago can effect me now. He will always be the greatest entertainer to ever live. He was beautiful, kind, humble, generous, charming, gifted, and devoted to God. Love this, Elvis was the best at taking a song and making it his own. I still get goose bumps listening to him sing this. So powerful. God he was so gorgeous. I listen to him every day and it never gets old.

Though I prefer the Simon & Garfunkel version of this particular song, this is really good! Such a strong voice and so much stage presence. It's a real shame to see him a few years later, all bloated with his Evel Knievel jumpsuit. How can such a dynamic performer become such a train-wreck?

Don't take it as bashing, I really do like Elvis Presley. I am glad to see clips from this era, at his peak. They called him "The King" for a good reason.

In my opinion, the greatest Elvis song of the 70's.

And with "Elvis song " I don't mean "song written by him or to him" or "first to record the song". He made a cover of this song and it's, in my thought the best version. Much better than the original recording and all the recordings made after that one.

If you listen to the studioversion of this song you can hear sorrow, love and hope in his deep voice.

That's not fake. I got this video from deluxe edition of That's The Way It Is DVD, that I have. All the videos here really had their sound edited, using the studio version instead. That's exactly why I posted this one and put this on the title: NO EDITED SOUND. But you should know the difference, shouldn't you? (sorry for my bad english...)

@KohSamui111 it aint fake i have the orginal version on video. he performed this in vegas in august 1970 for the first time. this isnt the studio version of it at alll you should know the difference if you listened to both versions. vocal overdubs were done in the studio version. he changed it up quite a bit for singing it live.
