when I went to Nara I didn't read the signs and I thought it would be hilarious to chase a baby deer. not so funny in the end when you have a huge deer with massive antlers chasing you through a park and onto the road.. my family seemed to enjoy the whole thing though.

Actually if you take the JR ferry out to Miyajima they have even more deer (and I discovered they go to bed at night) When you get off the JR ferry and get into where the deer are, there is a sign in broken english that says, "we not responsible for eaten JR passes"

No...just been here about 6 months. But, I was here last year visiting my fiancee. She's from Osaka. It was my first time traveling around Japan...did Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, etc. Then back to Canada. I finished up grad school there and moved here in this Spring.
