@BrenTheGorgeous and also just because a singer hits a G5 doesn't mean their not a contralto, I'm a deep contralto and I can belt all the way up to Bb5, and regularly belt A5's. Being a contralto doesn't hinder ones range at all, any woman or man for that fact can hit that note if they have the ability.

@BrenTheGorgeous that's not her NATURAL voice if you listen to her songs pre-Jive you will hear a contralto not a soprano, she falsely sings with a timbre of a soprano but she isn't a soprano naturally. And if she wear a soprano her upper chest register and head voice would be way more developed and way more controlled and it would be almost impossible for her to hit a G2. She isn't nor has she ever naturally been a soprano.

@primohomme her natural singing voice is very deep, the voice she uses is NOT her natural voice, and though she may sing using the timbre and in the tessitura of a soprano, it's obvious that where her comfort zone is in her lower to mid registers which she uses with considerable ease and her voice before Jive, was very deep and rich. Based on all of these qualities she is naturally a contralto.

@rihannafam your wrong on so many accounts. 1.) Britney's lowest sung live note is a B2, her highest live belted note is a F#5, and her highest sung live falsetto note is a C#6 live. So that's 3.3 OCTAVES right their. 2.) The only exclamations were the A5. 3.) It's funny that you talk about live singing becuz your fave's range is smaller then Britney's, she sings live and she's quite bad at it and she never sings the original belted note in the right key so let's not thrown stones

@MattyTheDark I'm sorry but there is nothing even remotely about Britney's voice that says lyric soprano, she may sing in the tessitura of a lyric soprano and the timbre might come off as one, but she is most definitely a contralto and you can her that in the comfort and ease that she has in her lower register and her tone pre-Max Martin. And not only that but a lyric soprano could never sing a B2 with so much ease the way Britney can.

@ladysasha90 When I used to listen to her I always remembered her lyric soprano voice, always delicate, like a crystal, and now you say she's an alto - interesting. She must be a great singer to sing in the soprano range throughout so many years without damaging her voice. When Miley Cyrus and Carly Smithson speak they speak like altos because they are, but Britney speaks like a soprano (?). I know altos can hit up to some baritone's low notes, but sopranos likely never.

@ladysasha90 I ever read a comment by a classical singer where she said Britney is a lyric soprano and explained why she thinks so. There's no way for me to think she's an alto listening to her songs after Max Martin but hearing her before him, and before getting famous, I can think she's a sort of an alto, not like Carly Smithson, for example, but there's something that makes me think she is (or was, don't now) at least a mezzo-soprano, likely an alto.

Nice video! I think that she isn't a good vocalist but I love her songs so much!!!!! Her low notes are the best part of her voice, so effortless!! I think that the vocal fry can be counted in the vocal range, for example the Bb2 of Miley Cyrus in Liberty Walk is in vocal fry but she was singing because she goes from Bb3 to Bb2! I'm gonna make vocal range videos for each of Miley's albums, the first will come out today and it will be fantastic!!! Stay tuned! =D

I love her lower registry, it's the best part of her voice IMO. Especially C3, C#3, D3, Eb3, and E3 notes. Her B4, C5, C#5, and D5 are her best chest notes. Her voice is cute!

One of the greatest artists of ALL TIME. She really is legendary. Vocally she's mediocre. I like her low notes. I also love her C5 at 4:20, and the C#5 at 5:15. Her falsetto notes are pretty. Great video!
