Its not stupid. its because there are so many versions of each gun, its hard to keep track. You have KWA, KWC, HFC, Mauri, etc... and each make either a full metal, or partial metal, or all plastic etc... Not only 1 company makes the G-36, but last I counted there are at least 7 companies that make one. And each company uses different materials for different parts, naturally you are going to get conflicting reports..
