  • Lmao notice the fastest car in Texas is a nitro! Electrics don't have the torque that a nitro has.

  • Love 311!!!

  • The best rc drag race video yet! Nice work .

  • @MrNo0nekares Yea I don't think I'd try the real thing. But these cars are pretty safe. They make everyone have a lipo sock and don't allow crazy charging of that type of battery. No prop that used to be a problem. Its so explosive and lights up so easy. Just a fire waiting to happen. I raced off-road and on-road until my legs were too shot. This allowed me to keep racing for a couple more years. I still get out to the tracks but its just to make videos now.

  • How many feet?

  • @mtrsprt91 132 ft a 1:10 scale strip.

  • music sucks

  • why do they use foam wheels!

  • @waszzzzz Traction. They also have a ton of VP traction compound on the track its super sticky. And they still spin the rear wheels almost to the finish line. They also put a sticky substance rumored to be made from STP and some sticky stuff on the tires for extra traction. They are good for the first 20ft or so. After that its anyone's guess :)

  • @griz11 If you will notice the guys with the rails always picking up the back ends off the track. That isn't just to clear out the nitros. If you let them sit there too long they will stick to the track and cause a studder coming off the line. It can cost you the race. You take a plastic bag to put your shoes in too. They aren't worth much for anything else after a day at the track :)

  • damn the one at 2:31 is ridiculous!

  • i have been looking for one where can i get one?

  • @jameshoffmandude do a search for team walbern or grand motorsports. They are the two big names. Lots of people make them though. You might check out people at your local track. Make sure you get something they are running a class of. Nothing more frustrating than having a new rod and no class to run it in.

  • @griz11 Yea walbern and grand are good guys. I know them personally. Ran both of their cars. This sport requires a little scratch building at times but its easy to get help if you don't know how to do something at the tracks. I had all kinds of things wrong with mine the first time I took it to the track and they helped me get it set up properly before I tried to run and trashed it. Its a lot of fun.

  • I wonder how many tires that guy goes through in a week that ran over 100 mph!

  • @whiteknuckles717 It will wreck the tires pretty quick especially if they get to hopping and you don't get out quick enough. Yea right quick enough when they run 1.3 :) Its like you go into another zone when you are running those numbers. Muscle memory takes over you can't think that fast. The average it takes a person to recognize something and react is .400 sec. The same time as the lignts on the tree.

  • @griz11 There is a scene in another one of the Worlds videos that shows a set after a run. They are eat up pretty bad. Pretty cheap though. Several people can get together and buy a big sheet the right thickness and get them water cut into doughnuts for them to share. These guys don't really depend on a company for parts they just go to the hobby shop and pick up something close and mod it :)

  • im the 800 000th viewer =O

  • at 2:40 are tthey fukin or sumtin lol

  • lol @ 0:48 the blue car crashed

  • hey werent you guys doing this at Houston motorsports park? at the end of the real drag strip?

  • @ojoj626 yea they were they are at a different place now but still racing.

  • @ojoj626 They were but I think they moved. They have a website in Houston but I'm not sure what the URL is. The track in San Antonio is back up and running however.

  • @griz11 but yeh i race on the oval track over there

  • i want to see one of them crash going 100

  • @MrGrapebook I'm editing a ton of footage now from teh australian nationals last year. Lots of carnage in that. Check back in a week or so.

  • @MrGrapebook not much left of them. I haven't seen a 100mph crash but I did crash mine at about 80 one afternoon and it came back to me in a bucket :)

  • @griz11 And we never found the wheelie bar. There was a concrete cover over a big sewer or something at the end of the track in the left lane. The track actually curved just a bit at that point and it was far enough from the traps you were usually slowed down. However my throttle stuck one time and the car buried itself under that concrete cap dug a big hole and basicall exploded. Tiny pieces everywhere. I think it was 78mph when it went through the traps and was still accelerating.

  • @MrGrapebook In the video I did from Lampassas there is a black rail that crashes into a cone at the top of the track. The traps said 103 when he went past. And he'd been running over 100 all day. We all call him crash. Hardly ever makes the finals but his cars are the fastest thing out there most of the time. He's a crazy guy :)

  • good song

  • is he playing it in slow motion bcuz v wnt b able 2 see it in normal

  • cool thay are farst

  • wheres this track in texas

  • @c43939 San Antonio. 2 exits west of the full sized drag strip on I-10. Trainer Hale Road exit.

  • 0:45 sooooooo funny ! fail

  • 0:45 sooooooo funny

  • DO A BARREL ROLL

  • Crap Music...

  • @killerbee11111111 I learned a long time ago you can't try and please everyone with the music or you'd never get a video done. Its San Antonio for christ's sake dude.

  • if you'te fat or old there's a spot for you in RC

  • also the fattest man in texas lol

  • i race mine against actual cars at a dragstrip. i run low 5s haha people usually get pissed when they are beat by a rc car

  • @zackz22 flat out bullshit...even if you are running 1/8th mile..and a dragstrip at best would give you a single. but

  • That would suck if the car crashed

  • im a brushless guy, but those nitro two-strokes sound pretty nasty. kinda like a miniaturized yamaha banshee

  • @imjustwonderful That was the nicest comment I've saw from an electric running guy on one of these videos in a very long time. There needs to be more nice people out there like you, most people just complain and nitpick everything to death on here. I love the sound of these and the old Banshee's too lol.

  • 1.33 to 100 mph, thats sick, i guess u cant find ANYTHING faster than that on the earth atm ! maybe a RC car but nothing else !

  • @PCRampagE Actually a real topfuel dragster does 0-100mp/h in about 0,7 sec. So there u go fastest motorsport on earth... Landbased that is.

  • @ghost500e aha, i see, ok. thanks for feedback ^^ then this is the 2 fastest :D

  • thanks for all the veiws and thumbs up on this vid. and props to griz for making this video. my dragster is now retired hanging on my wall.

  • those dragsters with the little mufflers out the top are badass

  • i'll bring my 75 mph traxxas rustler there ;]

  • I would like the one at 2:02 (pause it)

Do u know where he got it from?

  • @iliveonjupiter thats a traxxas sprit...i dont think they make it any more

  • These brushless systems can take hell of alot of torture befor blowing up :) I tested one out just to see what there true limit was and it was about 148k rpm :) I just kept adding power till the motor could no longer hold together I finished up at using 7S lipo on a 10.500 KV motor made by tekin 1/10

  • I want the motor on the car that went 100 in my rc truck!!

  • also the fattest man in texas is 100.2 stone

  • Big men.. Litle cars..

  • is this electric

  • cool as shit where do i get 1

  • In the minute 2:43 i have read:

"1.33 sec 100.2 MPH FATEST man in Texas" LOL

    Nice vid D U D E!

  • how long is the course?

  • 100.2 mph for and RC...thats all!?

  • what powers these little weapons?

  • 2:34 Holy shit holy shit holy shit holy shit holy shit that was fast.

  • great Odin's beard those are fast, I had a COX nitro dragster that ran on a line but it wasnt this fast or RC

  • from 0 - 100 MPH in under 2 seconds... thats just fucking crazy!!!!

  • is nitro faster than electric?

  • why were all the people over weight in the video??? btw nice rc's & fantastic videos

  • @iamthepolice cause we love BAR-B-Q!

  • these are awesome

    where can I get one?

  • I wanna get a good/cheap rc car

do you know where i can get one??

  • to save everyone the time..the 100mph pass is at 2:35 in the video..and it it mind blowing!

  • sick video, song, and RCs

  • Thats sick, did you see that one it sheered the tire till almost the bear'' rim!

  • thats fuckin dean!

  • where did you go to do that

  • wow this was cool how do i get in this what what part of texas was this race in

  • @toyotalomofo There are a couple of tracks in Tx. This track is in San Antonio and its still running most every weekend. They have a thread on rcfiles com There is also a group in Houston. Check 2coolfishing com for their info. Basically you can run anything in Bracket class where the slower of the two cars gets a head start. This track is on I-10 2 exits from the real dragstrip in SA. Ask for Kip or Moo.

  • top fuels fuck up

  • @bustyboy123 Yes they are wound up tight. And sometimes things go wrong. Less with the electrics that dominate the sport now. Blown up tires seems to be the big problem these days

  • holy crud the rc dragster on the right went like a jet car! 2:35

  • how fast is one of them sharp looking thingys

  • That Would Nearly Be The Speed Of A Drag Car!

  • @jackdal39 Actually the older nitro cars would beat a real top fuel rail for at least the first 50 ft. Half track times confirm this. The electrics are even faster. Not a little bit but a lot faster. The latest trend seems to be the move away from direct drive back to belts for the electric rails. I need to get back to the track for some more video but its just been too damn hot for me to get out. Hopefully I can make the Labor Day Dash again this year.

  • i wanna see a tournament xD

  • how long is the drag strip?

  • @sean1649 132ft 1/10 scale. The real deal used to be 1320 ft now they are racing 1000 ft :( But we are sticking with 1/10 scale so the track is 132ft.

  • cool

  • lol way faster than real life cars

  • awesome vid man

  • Are most dragsters electric or gas?

  • @djminich They have gone to mostly electric. However there is still a strong nitro presence too.

  • Id love to see a tiny parachute pop out at the end.

  • @Mark2790 yea some have tried but they just don't work properly and are too heavy. It does look cool though. I've seen a couple of attempts.

  • Plenty more R/C Drag Racing on my youtube channel. users/griz11 Check it out. Vids from the last few year's World Finals in addition to club racing.

  • @markljesse No such thing as scale mph. Its a marketing gimmick. Doesn't make a difference how big the car is going 100mph. 100mph is 100mph no matter what. They are going even faster these days. Last Nov I think the top speed was 118. I think they are up to 122 or so these days. Brushless + lipo = awesome speed.

  • what happened to the mustang the announcer said there was a breakdown in the right lane..?

  • i'd be so afraid to run a drag car. So easy to crash and completely break in like less than a second.

  • @Phitzgood They are pretty simple so it doesn't usually take much to get them back in action. I have totally written off a rail one evening though. Everything on that chassis was bent or warped or just plain gone. I never did find my wheelie bar. Broke the car in half. Enough parts made it to the lights to get a time and a trophy for the night though :)

  • ddddddddddddddd

  • why in hell has the models got all sleek and slim line body then theres a huge aireal stickin out the top corsing drag ... use spektrum radio reicver has got 4 aireals on it each one no longer than an inch

  • @RotorHead2652 Some of them do run the spektrum system. I had it on all my cars. But most figure why spend money on a radio that is only used for a couple of seconds at a time. They buy performance parts instead. It does look tacky though.

  • do the nitro and eletric cars use foam tyres

  • Yep. Nice soft foam with plenty of Koford on them so they will stick.

  • I WANT ONE!!!!!

  • 2:34 is crazy!

  • That was sped up.

  • I do some slo mo but no speed up. They are running much faster. Last Oct the top speed was 118mph Check the World Finals video from 2009. Makes these seem slow.

  • It just looked like it on the last one because of the hand movement.

  • @mugaMeL They are the hardest thing I've tried to film. Photographers come out all the time to try their luck. Some of that is the image stabilizer trying to kick in thinking my pan was actually an error. I try and keep it off but when I'm doing handheld its pretty much necessary.

  • Thank you for correcting my mistake on the footage it is 132 feet, i guess im just geting old and not paying attention like i should LOL, i keep forgeting to remove the zero from the 1320 to get a fast 132 feet or to devide 10 into 1320 feet, sorry i dident mean to upset the apple cart, ill go now again thank you David*

  • No worried I'm old and subject to mental failure from time to time myself :)

  • i was jokeing im fine, i like jokeing about my age, im very mentaley alert and healthy for a man of 60, but thank you for trying to make me feel better, but im ok David*

  • 1/10 scale track footage is 120 feet 1/8th scale is 135 feet im not sure what 1/4 scales is, my math at 60 years old and doing this stuff for 35 years has deadened my math skills and spelling lol:) ive forget more then most will know he he?

  • Almost. A quarter mile is 1320 ft. So a 1/10 scale track is 132 ft. Quarter scales do run but the only ones I've seen ran on the 1/10 track. 1/8 are usually mt's and other modded on-road or off-road cars usually in bracket or bucket class. Its a 1/10 scale sport for all intents and purposes.

  • what is the length of that track

  • Lmao at 1:30 is that pipe aftermarket

  • That is a boat pipe. You cut them to length depending on the motor you are using.

  • Damn !

  • did it breack when it hit the wall

  • 100mph in 1sec? roflll holy shit thats fast

  • This year they went 1.2 sec at 128 miles an hour. They get faster every year.

  • Man that's really cool

  • last race dragster was awesome

  • so fast

  • 311

  • Yea its 311 all mixed up. Kinda goes with San Antonio I think :)

  • nice vid. nicely put together

  • Wicked thank you for sharing this. Truly sweet.

  • i love rc

  • @tvekelectric ... I love you

  • Thats fun, how much do they weigh. I want a GT500 for me :P

  • Different weights for different classes. I think the rails are 40 oz min. Don't know about the regular cars.

  • wow those lil fookers are fast!! wish i could get my supra to take off as instantaneously as those!! lol

  • damn the electric ones kick ass!

  • damn!

    shoking

  • is the last race in fastmotion?

  • @JPPH84 nope, 1.33 seconds is sooner past then you think.

  • This looks fucking fun.

  • how far do they run these?

  • 1:10 scale track 1320 ft / 10 = 132ft.

  • whats the fastest or biggest and baddest engine that can be put on a funny car?

  • When I was still running a .21 nitro was the biggest. You could run any size in extreme though. Now its all electric so I haven't a clue. Check the imdra website for the rulebook

  • why limit yourself to one

  • I had a rail pro mod and funny car. The rail and pro mod were nitro and the FC was electric. The Plazma Rat my pro mod was in most of the R/C mags and even made an appearance in Hot Rod Mag in Nov of '07. Only the 2nd time in history that an R/C car has graced the pages of Hot Rod. The other one was a 1:4 scale car. Mine was a 1:10 scale.

  • Its all 1:10 scale so the track is 132ft. Getting close to time for the '09 Worlds. I'll be there all 3 days this year checking out the action on the newly restored all concrete track.

  • thats sick. what distance do they run?

  • can the rc cars turn?

  • Yes they have servo driven steering. However the geometry is way different than what you would run in any other car. You set the servos slower and limit the range for drag racing especially in the beginning. But yea you gotta steer them and its not easy at times especially when the front wheels get in the air.

  • thats cool but dont show them in slow motion cause they look like toys

  • i got a tamiya m-03 mini tuned up don't ask me what its got as i bought it from a freind but its good for around 75-80mph still no wear near as quick as these things there beat real life top fuelers man thats hectic!!

  • Cool this one made Featured Video Status :) My first vid to get that high up on the pecking order.

  • its hard to tell how fast there really going in a small video, in real life i bet its wild

  • Last year the fastest run was 119mph. This year with the super smooth and level concrete surface there is no telling how quick they will be. In the past hitting a small bump etc usually blew up the rear tires on the electric cars. The Extreme class and the Electric Doorslammer/Pro Mod class is probably the two quickest classes.

  • i really feel as if my brushless 3s lipo stampede with good tires could beat most of these off the line

  • yeahhhh no

Wich car u could beat of the line? give me the clip start time

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

    thats funny

  • i think i can acutally beat them, i'll just have to run the 4s HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • the vxl can barly hold a 3s w/o overheating or burninout the esc when geared for drag racing and 4s will ruin ruin your truck if not upgraded

  • Bring that bad boy to the World Finals and line it up. No better way to find out. I've seen a few Pede's running at LiteSpeed. Bracket class. They do quite well actually. Once you get some slicks on them and enough weight in the front to keep the front end down.

  • how much does theses cost

  • They start out pretty cheap about 100 bucks or so for a chassis. Check Walbern or Grand Motorsports for kits.

  • you dont buy them. these people make these cars by themselvs. but i have no i dea how much it would cost.

  • doooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

    ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • First weekend in Oct the IMDRA World Finals would be the week to go. They start on Tuesday and race until Sunday. Its on I-10 between Houston and San Antonio 2 exits from San Antonio Raceway where they have the SpringNats each year for the IHRA crowd.

  • By the way last year a buddy of mine from Dallas went 119mph on this track with a brushless lipo system. This year people are talking a 1.1 second trip down the new concrete track that is freshly laid.

  • Anyone have any idea how much these things weigh? 1.33@100+mph is fast for anything

  • I think the minimum is around 45 ounces

  • Its 38 ounces for the nitro top fuel cars and 40oz for the electrics. Other classes are similar

  • what kind of traction compound are they putting on the tires?

  • Koford on the tires and lane choice on the track

  • Finally a motor sport you can do drunk!

Massively quick cars and good video edit. keep it up

  • Actually no drinking for the drivers. Spectators no problem. The cars can do a lot of damage traveling at the speeds they do and require a clear head to get down the track. So if you drink you don't drive.

  • like around 2:39 that car was fast as hell

  • lol at 2:25 i started cracking up, but really fast cars

  • i like those cars allot

  • they sound like mouses!

  • this is realy fast :D

  • where can you get these? wut price??

  • Look up Team Walbern Grand Motorsports and check the imdra website for lots of info. A lot of them are scratch built. Litespeed is another company that makes them,
