For people who aren't aware. I have heard that Edward Norton was really disagreeable and nit-picking on the set of the Incredible Hulk, so i think this is why they dropped him, he was too much trouble :( HOWEVER, i agree, he made the part his own, and maybe thats what they needed. But, my question is ... why Joss Whedon?!?! Jon Favreau would seem the ideal choice but nevermind :/ I'm just thinking back to when Buffy ... when it turned crap with TOO MANY PEOPLE! Now giving him the Avengers?! :S

@wdai03. Agreed. Ed Norton was the one who REALLY made Bruce Banner/Hulk as we see him today. Eric Bana's portrayal in 2003 was weak (due to too much back story and not enough action), but Norton surpassed him greatly in the rebooted 2008 movie.

I really would've like to see Edward Norton in this cast but the reason they really got rid of him was because every movie he has done he help edit or create more to it...If you like the Incredible Hulk most of the editing and add in was him..the writers guild really hates when he does that...marvel loved their script so much and didnt want him touching it..but Edward norton is a genius...so they parted way..mark is good..amazing in Shutter Island..

The newest movies from Iron Man onwards are not connected to the ones prior. Iron Man represented the first of a series of films all dedicated to bringing about the Avengers movie. It doesn't matter if they use previous actors like Evans to claim new roles.

Jackman is more a solo act now. Even the Wolverine movie was better than the previous X-Men ones. You can see how much better the movies have been since Marvel got more control. It is my sincere hope that GR2 will be another clean slate movie like Incredible Hulk. Cage was pretty good first time around so no reason to lose him.

There'll not be another FF movie with the previous cast, mark my words, but yeah, Evans wouldn't have been my first choice for CA.
