I remember when they sold the property across the street to Zeckendorf for $1.00. Community organizers wanted to make it into affordable housing. That was in 87 or so, but it took 15 years for them to kick everyone out. The middle class has been forced out of Manhattan. I left 20 years ago...
He's either in Woodstock or up in Maine... I trained at that building when he first moved in back in 86 or so, dirty, but good times. I saw Raoull Julia there

Apologizes for spamming this film, but they want to make money dude, chill, there is no way they would survive without your viral / alternative vids. They are just struggling with the Web 2.0 problem, "where the hell do we make money out of all of this???"
Just ran across this video and was in shock a bit because I lived in this building in 1968-69 while working part-time for rent in the Church of All Nations. Saw some pics of Joe (asst director) and heard Miss Burdick's name in some of the footage, but unfortunately couldn't see pics of the 4th floor where the bunch of us lived. Will have to dig out some pics and artwork showing parts of the building and post them here at some point. Trip down memory lane!
