  • this is boss

  • In no way am I trying to diss Arthur Ganson because he is truly talented and such an artist.. but I don't understand this machine. Does anybody know the story behind it?

  • *one day at the lab*

arthur ganson: oh what the hell im going to make a no point

    sculpture that nobody understands...

  • Whats the point, I really dont get it?

  • Whats the point, I really dont get it?

  • beautiful. thanks for making.

  • amazing - random is a good thing !!!!

  • what the hell is this?

  • not 100% sure but i think its trying to show different possibilities of the way a chair can fall ie it never falls the same way twice- i think in physics they call it a chaotic system.

  • 3:07 :D

  • You can see this at the MIT museum in Boston. I just saw it yesterday.

  • man... im a little creaped out by it for some reason.... but im alo very impresed.

  • No problem at all. Sorry for the lack of patience. :)

  • wow, thats a rare thing to see two people bickering reach an understanding on the internet *high fives all around*

  • this comment has nothing to do with my comment. what I said is that the cat is used to make the chair jump in different ways each time it touches it.

I don't care where he foud it.

  • cat must be ticked off that chair pummeled it

  • It shows how a regular movement can cause chaos.

  • It's not chaotic, you can easily write an equation that explains the movement.

  • I do believe someone can write an equation that explains the movement, but i doubt it wille be easy.

  • just for the record: if you can write an equation for it doesn't mean that it's not chaotic, the lorentz attractor is also described by a simple differntial equation and it is absolutely chaotic..

if you write the equation you can still not predict the movement of the chair because any deviation on the input measurement will amplify in time.

  • lorenz attractor that is

  • that was cool, but i think it would have been better if the chair would have landed up right

  • i don't understand what the cat has to do with it

  • the cat isnt really of any relevance, it just kind of fits with the chair, i guess, no?

  • The cat changes the course of the chair. Duh.

  • flying chair !!! :D:DD::D:D , nice one

  • that poor cat !!! I love this !

  • wow that was really cool!
