R.I.P. Morita such an amazing actor, even in all the cameo scenes he was in Happy Days, Fresh Prince, every t.v. show he was in he stole the scene he's such an amazing actor and he'll be missed. I hated the Karate Kid remake, I thought it did not do the movie justice classic movies shouldn't be remade. Robin Hood shouldn't have been remade, Karate Kid shouldn't be remade, I swear to God I hope they don't remake Back to the Future or Jurassic Park, Even Jaws movies like that shouldn't be remade.

The genius of the training method they wrote for Miyagi's character lay in the fact that he needed to build Daniel's muscle memory since the Cobra Kai had been training longer than he had. The flurry on the deck was to show that Daniel now knows his defense well enough that he doesn't need to think about it anymore.

Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio were cool and all... but Best Of should have at least one decent scene with Elisabeth Shue in it! Back in grade school I had a huge crush on her because of this movie... i suppose that a lot of 80's kids did though.

@Wyzzkyd I have to agree. I love Jackie Chan but there is only one Mr. Miyagi. It's also pretty insulting to call the new one "karate Kid" when they are clearly doing kung fu, as if the audience aren't smart enough to understand.
