@TheOmarabbass I assume what is happening is that your data is not in the proper format. What are you trying to play back? Music files should be in .mp3. Movie files should be either in .avi, .m2ts, .vob, or .mp4.

Why is this software necessary if you still have to incorporate your pc in order for this to work. You can hook up your computer directly to your tv via hdmi or s-video (depending on how old your pc is) and eliminate anything else not needed most of the time. I'm either missing something because I see no benefit in spending 40.00 to get picture on my tv when all I need is to run a video line from pc to tv like I'm already doing. What's the benefit?

yeah tversity adds the online streaming thing..but it kinda sucks in streaming certain types of files..even if u have the codecs.. way too much tweaking.

ps3 media server the java based program is awesome.. but i don't believe u can add do streaming.

play-on seems an ok idea.. but not that amazing and hulu is soon going to be pay to watch.. in 2010..so sucks.
