@beazyo6baby No, not for the tunnel itself. It makes it easier to make the tunnel if you get the hole digger lots though.

@LordoftheKaty I have learned alot from other people, and from my mistakes in the game. Look up halijackey here on youtube.  He has some really good stuff also.

@adeelwave Yes. I have a city with just a tad bit over 5 million and I only have a hint of lag. It does take a good computer to run properly.

How do you get that small level God mode tool? My level tool is so big and I keep deleting the tunnel on accident.

@raeknight79 I am pretty sure you press and hold shift while pressing 1-9 on the top of the keyboard.... Thats how its set up in my game..

@miller45103 You know, many of us, make mistakes in Simcity 4, like placed a road where you placed it wrong, and I hope there's a undo button, so instead of demolish the road, i can click undo, save simolones and save time and patience

I use seasonal woods rather than random woods. I like the seasonal woods better because it changes with the seasons. Nice video anyways :)

@DaultonBahm Thanks. I will agree with you. Most of my cities have the "seasonal" woods also, not sure why I put random in this city though. And they do look better since they change.

Very nice. But I have two questions.

1. Can a subway tunnel be done in the same manner?

2. Can the tunnel pass through between two cities using the neighborhood connection capability?

#1. I am not sure exactly what you are talking about, since subways are already built underground.

#2. Unfortunately, no as far as I am aware, since it is underground. I will have to try it later today, just to see if it works. Never tried it before. :/ There might be some kind of mod that will allow you to do that. It would be really nice to be able to do that, and connect bridges across city lines, but I dont think there is a mod for it.

I'm curious about making subway tunnels that are underwater.

Yeah, I've made a map that I will incorporate into a region. And although I could use ferries, I don't want to. But in order for that to happen, tunnels will have to be underwater and connect between cities. And even more so, I would prefer to use subways.

@miller45103 Maybe my issue was sloping correctly? Either way I just made a lovely under water tunnel via NAM, so I think that'll do. I wish they had made a SC5 that has incorporated all that. Spent the weekend in NYC and kept looking at Penn Station thinking how cool that would be in a game. Oh well :(
