wow last night i landed my first "perfect 5" high kicks and I felt awesome. But this makes me feel like I am back at the beginning again. I didn't know people could get this crazy. I need to work on my flexibility.and jesus how can his knees handle that
@wfcxtoxic I know you posted this a while back, but they do trips over to Thialand for people to train in the villages. I did it way back like 20+ years ago when my pops was based in Bangkok I used to hang out in a village in Chang Muai. So check it out some day you will have fun I did......good times.
you could buy a month of training there, rent a bungalo for a month there all for about 700 dollars, thats really not bad at all, my rent at my apt for one month is 620, i would try it out if i wasnt a chicken, pretty great opportunity
I went there about three years ago for a month, one of the best things I've ever done.. Its awesome. never mind the chicken bit.. thoroughly recommend it. (and Phil Baroni went there not too long ago!!!!!)
@noobsound yeah you cant learn muay thai in america unless the trainer is from thailand otherwise its watered down and youre better of learning kickboxing
go to thailand to properly train for muay thai its a full contact
original muay thai, cant wait to get back into training, this video is orgasmic for me, please dont mention mma in the same category as muay thai its an insult
i woulh hate to get in ring with dude, but most thai boxers have more of a fluid combo technigue than just throwing mostly single strikes.maybe he just workin on power
arghhhh!!! i really wanna do this shit cant afford though it dont have a job :c my cousin does this he trained at phuket did quite well but im starting to wonder if i can learn just as good technique at home ?
Im still hoping for the UFC 1 style tournament to be bring back. Discipline against Discipline. Muay Thai vs. Karate for example. I think those kind of fights are more interesting than two well rounded fighters (sorry for my english)
@dieneco91 I would dare you to get in the ring with that guy even if he didn't use kicks or knees. These guys are no joke. Most of them start training before they are 10. You might not think his punches look that powerful, but i bet he knows just where to land them to make them hurt.
what are the chances of moving to thailand living and training on a muay thai camp as a way of living and fighting on a regular basis for a "farang". any advice would be much apreciated
@Elchori79 I can't recommend a Muay Thai bag as you're asking but I use a regular 80 lbs everlast bag and stand for training myself. I keep it at the standard height as boxing but if I'm working on a lot of leg work (in particular low kicks) I'll adjust the chain and bring it down a bit.
i'm looking for a type of banana or heavy bag to work on at home. Can you recommend any kind of stands? Don't think i can hang one from my ceiling, and i'm in a tight space so it can't swing around alot. thanks!
@NakMuayThai Any chance you could give me the specs to buy this heavybag ? I have an 80lb one but its much smaller and I need a better one, like the ones I train with at the gyms, I'd appreciate it thanks.
@skrelude I have a 100lbs bag. Really good for low Kick training. Thats usually the biggest muy thai bag that touches the floor so it won't go flying when you hit it with a kick.
@skrelude you dont have to buy a specific weight bag you can repack bags yourself just put sand in something like a zip lock bag or sealable sack take the cloth scrap or w/e is filling the bag put those sandbags in the MIDDLE OF THE BAG so your not kicking them and repack it back up to whatever weight you want within reason also the bag will probably be alittle lumpy for like a week or so until all the packing settles in
This guy inspires me to actually get off my ass and train. I've been wanting to learn muay thai for years now, I need some influence like this nearby or foundation where to start.
im a boxer and some guys who train muay thai come to our gymto improve their hands,in sparrings they get beat easily, but when i asked one of them to give me a stronger low kick i buckled like a little girl :) ,i could imagine what a strong low kick or any other kick or elbow would feel...anyway good bag work!
@pacholito24 dude thank you!!! your one of the few people that ive seen respect other types of fighting. your a boxer and respect muay thai. most people just hate on other types of fighting. i do muay thai but i respect all types of martial arts
@NakMuayThai carbs dont make you ripped eh bro they make you looked more filled out when you have higher protein meals thats when you start to look more ripped .. well depending on what you eat and your training
@mmaman88 A staple of Yods diet, like 99% of most Thai people is rice(carbs) at every meal including breakfast. This along with the many chicken and pork variety of toppings that go over the rice.
