The United Kingdom seems to have forgotten we didn't even have to fight Germany. The only country that did attack us was Japan, Germany never launched an attack upon the United States. And seeing that we had only 1 active regiment, compared to Japan who had 100, and Germany who had 200, we thought that the attack on pearl harbor was just the beginning of a Japanese land invasion of the United States west coast. Truth be told, America having barley a military, thought we were next to be invaded.

Germany was in the middle of bombing the heck away of the UK and the last thing they need was Britain receiving new supplies.
