Wow nice cover. The drummer even seemed to have his drums setup like the newer setup and tuned like it as well. Guitar bass and vocals were awesome. Very cool. Takes lots of work and talent to do something even close to this well. Take it from someone who's tried for years (guitar and drums).

This is the BEST Rush cover I have heard, both as a group performance and on an individual basis - part for part, drums, bass, guitar, vocals, keyboards... the mix and editing are top notch as well. Not only did you master the song, but you nailed the "sound" as well. Well done mates - you can be proud of your performance.

@ObbusVideo I've heard Rush play it at this speed, and also faster than the studio cut as well. I think it sounds best at this speed, which provides the listener the opportunity to fully appreciate everything that is going on in this song, all the notes that are played. Rush has always had big, full sound... You could listen to their songs 5 times in a row and find something new each time... I've always thought of their compositions as highly organized clutter. You guys nailed the details \m/

I gotta say, this cover and the cover of The Trees are nothing short of amazing. These guys have got to have some serious time on their hands and some serious cash as well to produce videos as polished as these. The sound is a bit sterile for my taste but I think a lot of pro groups could learn a lot about production from these guys.

THANKS for the compliments! It was a labor of love, really, done over a long period of time. None of us have major time or cash! Shot and recorded in my home studio and rehearsal space. Videos recorded about 15 years apart! The band is now defunct, but we had a great time!

Yes, it is unfortunately slower. We'd been training ourselves to play slower in rehearsals knowing that the energy of a live gig would then have us playing it at the right tempo instead of too fast. But that theory did not carry over into the studio too well!
