  • "Andante": about 80 bpm. That isn't Andante.

    Pour Soprani and Tenori.

  • at this tempo, how long does a complete performance last?

  • Hours many hours. I was once in part of the Messiah. The director selected only a few of the pieces, about 10 or so, it lasted at least an hour and a half. We did not perform the whole thing. I once had the whole thing on Cassettes I don't remember how many cassettes, but is was more than one.

  • We must remember that religious services, concerts, etc. in Handel's time were much longer than today's. People back then were less busy. We are now accustomed to 30-60 minute TV programs, 3-4 minute songs, 2 hour movies, and newscasts that try to fit local, national, and world events into 15-30 minute slots. Sure you could fit all of Handel's oratorios on an iPod due to its great capacity, and still have space left for the Water Music and Music for the Royal Fireworks.

  • Necesitamos saber quién dirige y quién canta, por favor, please.

  • lol its baroque!!!

  • This is baroque not romantic....

  • That's right...

Who said that it was romantic?

  • you're right, it is performed in a romantic fashion, who is the director and the soloist if one may know?

  • I was going to respond in that cesspool of a mess which you were responding to the "Christians" about the "Rapture" and the "end of time", but "accidentally" clicked on your name instead of "reply". Good choice of music. Does this not say it all?

  • What do you mean by 'Does this not say it all?'
