Thanks Juan, I was a competent classical guitar player at the beginning, but thanks to the great players I found on youtube - especially Naudo - my style has changed and it's starting to feel "natural". Classical guitar playing is tight, restrictive, almost robotic (sorry classical guitar mates) but this "Spanish" style that Naudo plays is loose, comfortable, relaxed - but perhaps too "sloppy". I still need to keep my accuracy...it's difficult, but I'm learning!
I remember when I first saw you playing here comes the sun, since then you look like an expert with the Spanish guitar. Great song congratulations Jaw
i dont care if I hear any fret buzzing, dude, to play the base line as you play the melody is real kool. technique yes but with time maybe one can become a cleaner player, my excuse is that I dont have very long fingers, hahaha. But what a great job on that song.
@AcousticPhases Thanks mate! I'd like to play cleaner but the truth is I'm too lazy...if I really put the effort in to fret and pick accurately I reckon I _could_ play clean...but then it might start sounding clinical and precise, like classical music (sorry my classical mates, I do love your work). This loose & fluid style has character - maybe I should tidy it up a bit - but perhaps some lack of cleanness is essential!?
@jawmunji Yes indeed, the way you play, loosly really does invoke its own sense of uniqueness in your style. so keep it as you hear it. Cause I'm lovin it.
It's always fun to see some original arrangements of these aussie classics, even if most of the world might not know the tune any aussie would know. And it is a fun bass line and very cleverly worked out there...will be giving it ago...keep picking!
@warmingtone My youtube stats tell me I'm more popular in the USA, UK and Germany than in my own country, so playing Aussie rock probably isn't what my followers want, but I feel that it is my civic duty to do so anyway :)
It's a brave man who attempts that bassline - it's not easy - I'd love to see someone else try! ;)
