I didn't like how she was portrayed in this movie. She looked like an idiot, a fool, a nobody! Joan was an unbelievably intelligent and classy woman(not bad for a peasant, huh?), this movie made her look like a disgrace. I didn't like it. If Joan was truly sent by God, then she would'nt have looked like the idiot Milla Jovovich was making her out to be. In fact, she would've been like someone whom had already had all the answers. Someone who's path has been made clear.

I guess the Messenger is a decent action movie, but it was not even close of the 'true story'. Joan was a 16 year old peseant girl when she led the French Army to it´s victory. Obviously she was not the great warrior that you can see in this movie, but more of a symbol to rally behind. It´s still a good movie though.

@ma82fo she doesn't portrait a great warrior. She actually did a great characterization of someone who knew nothing about war. Bravery/audacity (been the case) doesn't necessarily make a great warrior; it only means you have cojones.
