The thing I liked about this movie is that the racism of the seargant played by martin sheen helped to bring the black guys and the one white dude together instead of seperate them. The black guys learned that not all white people are bad. And the white guy learned that those black guys were decent guys despite of their crimes. I felt sorry for the seargant because alot of his bad behavior came from him and his son not talking anymore, his son severed the relationship. sarge was in pain.
