If you didn't know, you can find outside any major town like Whiterun, near the stables, a carriage with a guy that will give you a quick travel ride to any other major town for 20 gold. (Even if you haven't been there) If you DID know and are doing the trek for the lolz, I like it, carry on XD

Brad - you should equip Lydia (or any companion) with some better weapons and armor. It will help to keep them alive and to actually help you in some fights. Just interact with them and ask to trade some items. Like so he sees!
