My grandmother had one of these. *shudder*
She set it to motion sensitive mode, and left it next to my parakeets for a week while we were on vacation. (No wonder they hated me!)

Mine also had this gorrila monkey thing that would vibrate and make screeching noises. THAT really scared me.
