Ah, this brings back memories to when Family Guy was in it's prime. Now the show is just unfunny and pointlessly crass. (not to mention, there are forced a and repetitive cutaway gags every five seconds, whereas in the early seasons there was a limit as to how many cutaway gags there would be; that way, there was more room for story development and also more genuine laughs)

yeah definately, the story was alot more solid in the earlier series'.

I enjoy the more recent series' too, in seasons 7-8 some of the jokes still leave me in stitches, but its not like a story anymore its more like a joke machine.

I like watching it for the family and everything that happens to them :)

If you look at the really early seasons, it was around 85% story and yet there were still tons of jokes in there without the need for cut-offs that break up the purpose of it :(

I haved lived in Kentucky since I could crawl, which I know isn't nessecarily in the South, but yes, parts of it are quite racists and backwards. However, this is only part of the state (a part which black people have learned to avoid at least until the populace finally joins the 20th century) and the rest of it is actually a beautiful state full of cultured, tolerant people. And most of them do not breathe exclusively through their mouths! :D
