@343571 Maybe I can help you. I have been researching WWII items for about 10 years and have gone into the Vietnam era now as well. You can send me a message with your email and the dog tag info here on youtube and i'll get back to you. You have to be aware that researching Vietnam soldiers is very hard, as most information still haven't been released to the public yet.
one question might be allowed. why the heck pfc davis "lost" his dog tags in vietnam? guess he was supposed to wear his id tags 24/7. am i wrong or what?
Some military outfits wear their dog tags around their necks, some have them on a chain. There could ANY number of reasons how a dog tag could get lost. Ask a veteran about that.
my dad served in vietnam in the 198th infantry did 3 tours hes even told me more than half the time he dident wear his tags,if something happend he just dident care anymore
What a great deed! I am sure recovering your dog tags can bring back lost memories & help heal old wounds. Mine - have stayed on my key ring, for 30 years, as a constant reminder. Thanks
I have found a dog tag and can't find the owner. What can I do to find the owner? I would love to give it back to the M. carrigan or this family.
