  • is it true that the ducks which are hatched from the incubator cannot sit on nest

  • How hard is it to incubate them?

  • Get me the duck outta this thing!

  • is it realy bad for the duck if you help it get out from the egg?

  • i always wanted a pet duck, i love them so much but I cant have one cause I have a cat and a dog

  • This is awesome! But I'm curious, is it ok to get duck eggs offline? Has anyone ever bought eggs offline? Was it a good experience? Please answer if you know anything about buying duck eggs for hatching offline!! Thankyou!! =)

  • Not only they are more cute, but also more delicious.

  • how come it looks all bloody and it loooks like it's hurt? is that normal?

  • @sfsc16 yes it is no different from a woman giving birth, all beings are covered with something during birth! it is not hurt, it is exhausted from the hard work of getting out of the shell as it takes a few hours to do so, thanks for viewing

  • soooo cuteee!!!!!

  • Just got 3 new baby ducklings 2 weeks old and starting to get their white feathers =] so happy

  • thats what happens when u wait too long to cook them

  • first: OMG LITTLE BABY DUCKY!!!

Hi, i have alot of questions...

do the ducklings learn from the older ducks, if so is it necessary to have one?

what do you feed them as they grow?

should i ever "Help" the duckling come out of the egg (when it has started hatching of course)

sorry, i've been thinking on getting a duck-lol strange pet idea i know :)

  • @ALEXandRA124356 i have two ducks :) its a great pet :)

  • I showed it to my baby! Thank you for sharing this miracle of God! Thank you, Lord Jesus, for all of creation!

  • waaaaaaw!

  • how do you takecare of the egg so it can grow?

and are u able 2 take them out of their egg while its hatching?

  • Comment removed

  • arent they meant to be in an incubator? i dont know cos my science class has a incubator with like 5 or 6 eggs and they hatched they look cute when they are in teh egg ugly when they are hatched nd cute agen when they are normal

  • how do you keep them incubated?

  • @somethingfunny18 We got a small "budget" incubator that fits 6/10 eggs depending on size. 4 hens and ducks the temperature should be 37.5 C, 4 weeks for ducks, 3 for hens. As it is a cheap one we have to turn them 3 times a day until they start to hatch but you can spend more and get one that turns them for you. Humidity should be higher at the time of hatching to prevent the membrane thingy from drying and trapping the bird inside. This is done by topping up the water inside the incubator.

  • pls can assist sending me a skech/ drawing of duck housing that will good for pickin the at easy.

    2. how can I be hatching the duck eggs myself.

    thanks

  • I was coaxing the baby through my voice, saying "almost there, baby..." I couldnt help it, my mummy instincts came through :3

  • The whislting is soothing

  • @yosesaurs U ALSO NEED AN INCUBATOR!!

  • @yosesaurs because if u do,then they might not be ready to hatch and if u help them, they could die. If they r grown and ready, then they will hav the stength to push themselfs out.:) i suggest u wait a while until u kno alot more about raising a duckling. If u want a duck,u can find them at a website.they can sell u ducklings or eggs:) it takes 28 days to hatch. Or shorter.

  • Ahhh memories, I remember the day I hatched from my egg...

  • I dont see whistling helps o.o

  • do you clean them when there born or do they dry themselves?

  • @yosesaurs thanks for viewing, no they just dry off naturally

  • @yosesaurs they dry by themselves

  • what do you feed the ducklings when they are born?

  • @yosesaurs They are not fed straight away, I feed them the day after they are born and gave them chick mash

  • where do you get the eggs because i want one?

  • why do you not help them get out of there shell/egg ?

  • what is that you have your ducklings on to keep them alive?

  • thats exacly what we did before we were born. exept you enter the egg

  • I once had ducks and they were hard work, but it was worth it, however, unlike yours I recieved mine when they were a couple of days old.

  • awwww its so pretty to watch. i want a duck really badly, but i don't have the money to get one right now, and i want my duckies to have a wonderful home with me...

  • how are they now?

  • awe<3

  • labor seems easier than what these ducklings go through.

  • @Este21

ahhh no. definatly not. they just push out of an egg. no excrutiating pain. hahaha

  • my duck egg just hatched about 4 mins ago. It's still half in the egg and it looks sooooooo tired. it's eyes are closed and i think it's sleeping now. even tho its lower body is still in the egg. it looks like she has a little tumor in her belly area. is that normal? idk if it's the yoke sac. it's medium sized and is attacked to the baby. She baby seems faily vocal and alive. is this normal? mine didn't come 100% out of the egg like yours. again mine's a mallard. what do ou think? thanks! :D

  • @ciciironwill27 sorry I have only just logged on to my videos, hope all is well ,,Sue

  • @suej3169 it's ok all is well. he/she is doing great. growing fast. luckily i have like 100 pics of Nicky already. I go a little overboard LOL. but oh well. now i'll have plenty of memories LOL. thanks tho

  • omg,s sweeeeeeeeeet:X:X:X

  • Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

  • "WHO ARE YOU!? YOU'RE NOT MY MOTHER!" @3:02. So cute.

  • @joeybrogue thanks for viewing, share with your friends,,,:-)

  • i have one right now

  • @animallover0309 ah congratulations

  • sooo thats how babies are born

  • @sweet58441 i think it hatched to early if the egg sacks attached whatever u do don't pull the shell off i did that little dude didn't last long

  • i have ALWAYS wanted a duckling my hole life so i asked my mom and she said no so i said what if i cold incubate a DUCK egg she said its posible (but in my family that means yes) so how do i incubate it and how do i get a egg? ps i am exsided but i know better not to get my hopes up

  • @TheMonks7 Hi thanks for viewing, before you incubate it think about if you are able to care for it properly,ie have you somewhere safe for it to go into at night, a pond or something for it to swim,, you need an incubator for your egg and a fertile egg, best place tog et a fertile egg at the moment is Ebay as this is the time of year that eggs are most fertile,...

  • AWWWW... And, ewwwww.

  • Yes! He made it out, it was kind of like alien though...

  • Thats so pimpin !!

  • that's soooooo cute! im about to raise ducklings too!!!

  • seems pretty big for just a duckling!

  • Hey cool vidio im hatching ducks right now

  • what do you feed them after hatch?

  • Just beautiful- the lil one has just gotta get about doing what it knows to do- even though it tough work.- what a great picture of life.

  • What a cutie!!!

  • why do you wistle at the duck?

  • @MegaRachel1997 Hi thanks for viewing,,yes i whistle at it to try and imitate what the mother duck would do to encourage it to come out...

  • one question..can u help the duckling out of the shell? if not please tell me y..they r my fav animals!

  • I had a pet duck named Bilbo Baggins, and he was an utter angel. ^_^

  • Are you English or Aussie lol! Why are there heavy insect noises in the background? I'd keep a duck as a pet, but I'm in a flat : (

  • @Noodles37UK Hi thanks for viewing.. no insects, thats me whistling to encourage the duckling as it thinks its mum is talking to it!!! :-)

  • this reminds me of the movie " Fly Home" haha

  • Is There egg shell on its neack?

  • @SaveTheEarth246 yes but it comes off when they clean themselves.thanks for viewing

  • THEY NEED TO FRIEKEN GET OUT ON THERE OWN

  • i saw a documentry about penguins and they would take the eggs away and put them in an incubator and replace the eggs with round pebbles and the penguins would sit on them =) I guess they are easy to fool.

  • Always amazing to watch!! Thank you for sharing!!

  • what did you do after you had filmed this video? do you wash it? gave you the water and food? or what should I do if I need one of these?

  • @nicolineTappert thanks for vieing, no I left it to dry in the incubator for around 30 mins, just giving it drops of water , then put them into a warm cage with a lamp and give them some mash, if you look at my other video of sleepy ducklings you will see they clean themselves and are very independant quickly.

  • @suej3169 thanks :)

  • Could you tell me what model of incubator you use? I'm looking at various set ups to hatch my Ancona ducklings from. Thanks so much!

  • @Potlickerdotorg i cant remember what model this was, it was a friends and a very old but a good quality one,,you can find incubators on ebay at reasonable prices.

  • Happy Birthday little guy.

  • :O where did you get the eggs? xD do you have a pair of adult ducks that had eggs and then you took some of them?

  • @Myobokuuzan I used my own eggs. and i also bought some fertile eggs off ebay to ensure that there was a new mix of blood,(if you interbreed them it can cause problems).thanks for viewing.

  • Such a beautiful video. I've always thought to own a duck, but I live in a lakeside property with no backyard. That little bugger would get out on that lake and never want to come back! :)

  • Awwww! cute little duckies!!

  • delicious

  • How long after they are born do they recognise you as being their mother? I think it's called imprinting

  • This is so beautiful.. And this video is helping me learn more about ducks. <3 I hope that one day when I am older I can have a pet duck.

  • Ducklings are so cute xoxoxo :)

  • I need some help, we are getting some white domestic ducks today a mating pair. How do you know when an egg is fertile? How long does it take? And how long do you leave the eggs in the incubator?

  • omg ok i have ducks and um they layed 13 eggs the thing is i found 2 eggs shell empty do they eat their own eggs if it is dead? oh and we dont knoe how to breed at all the egg has ben in the nest for 4 weeks is that a bad sign? and the eggs are white mix with grey..idk i need help and plus my duck also leave the nestallthe time and it's octber..do you think the egg died?

  • @lyndalinda23 If it's freezing cold and they haven't been sitting on them yes. But with some duck breeds, their eggs take longer to hatch so kinda matters what type of duck. But they usually take around 28 days. though I know some eggs take about a 31.

  • @Awsomeness7180 awww boo thier dead =( its cold!!,they dnt like sitting on it!!,but idk they keep hatching lots of eggs grr...im madd

  • I wish ducks were white so they would be like swans only smaller :D

  • @Cloloc well where getting white domestic ducks today a mating pair so yea you can :) they look like swans with small necks

  • wuv that ducky :)

  • The gift of life :)

  • hahaha i feel so stupid. I'm so used to puppies being born and drinking milk so I'm waiting to see you give the duck back to its mother to drink some milk.....oh and why isn't the mother there? I don't know much about birds hatching but shouldn't the mother be there?

  • @nicholask95 These are grown in an incubator, unfortunately like probably 99% of anything hatched is done this way. this duckling does have a mother as all the eggs are from my own stock, thanks for viewing

  • @suej3169 you're right BUT ... my experience with geese, if you bring him immediatly to a female maybe the ducklings may have the protection of an adult

  • @nicholask95 ok 2 things 1. they DON'T drink milk, they can eat solid food and drink water after a few days when the yolk in their stomach is gone. 2. They don't need their mother. They just need a heat lamp, baby duck food, water, newspaper or something to walk on and go to the bathroom on and a few friends and their good to go.

  • @nicholask95 ducks that have been bred by humans are not always very good at sitting on eggs keeping them warm for a full 28 days. My ducks are Campbells and we have had them 4 years but hatched our first eggs last night in an incubator. They will be returned to their mother(s) as soon as possible, they grow very fast but need to stay in a few days until strong enough to handle predators such as the neighbourhod cats and sadly rats. I say mothers because our 3 females share a nest.

  • @nicholask95 his mother is the incubator.

  • Should you feed them right after they hatch? what do you feed them?

  • @Kinatakins no there is no need to feed them straight away.. i fed them a mash for chicks and ducklings with a litlle water added to it.thanks for viewing

  • @suej3169 If you feed them mash for chicks wouldn't the duckling possibly get angle wing?

  • UGLY DUCKLING!!! XD lol

  • Take your time, duck.

  • You can help, the mother duck would

  • @rabinski ehm dude it's out since 2007 :P

  • did u use a incubator?

  • Well I'm vegan and I think this is absolutley beauiful! I love how they are free range and all so far have gone to new homes as pets

  • r ducks easy to raise and fun to be around

  • I think u'r not supposed to help them hatch because they need to be able to survive out of the shell

  • Would it be wrong to help it out of it's shell? It looks like it was really struggling. And don't sue me for asking, please. I would just be like here you go, little buddy.

  • @Wendypretty1 they need to break out of the shell on their own so that theirs legs are strong, if you help them out, they poss not be able to walk properly then u would have the heartbreaking situation of having to euthanase it.. so the moral is let mother nature do her thing...thanks for viewing

  • @suej3169

Fair point but couldnt you put it in another fake 'egg' later to let it strengthen its legs that way?

  • @suej3169 actually if you have a baby chicken or duck like mine sometimes you need to help them. I was hatching chickens once and one was stuck for over 6 hours in the shell because his wing was pinned and he couldn't move. In that case we have to help them. And the chicken whose name is Buddy is perfectly healthy rooster (and a very friendly one, I think because we helped him and let him live) But it isn't true that they won't be able to walk. Sometimes you can beat the bitch mother nature :)

  • @suej3169 umm suej3169 do the ducks have sit on it to keep it warm?

  • @Wendypretty1 Awwh, I know, its so cute, but its heartbreaking to watch, I would want to help the little bugger out, too!

  • @Wendypretty1 Oh, I know!! It's almost heartbreaking to watch the poor little guy struggle. I'd be so tempted to help him out, too!

  • it look so tired, i think after this vid he/she went to get nap :D

  • Wow! I'm incubating some miniture Call duck eggs at the moment and they are due to hatch in 3 days!!

  • When I was in Kindergaten we did that. Except it was baby chickens. And we sent them too the girl grandmom who had a farm.

  • can you really incubate something with paper towels? o.o

  • @henhen7890 , thanks for viewing, i used paper towels whilst they were hatching so that birth matter etc can be contained so as not to spread any mess to the other eggs. I use thin hessian sacking to put them on when incubating and then cover it with papertowels which are easy to take out and dispose of safely,

  • after it was hatched what did u do?

  • @CoOkIeS8DxD .thanks for viewing, once hatched i would leave them to dry in the incubator and just dip there little beaks in some clean water , then i would transfer them to a warm box as you will see in my other video of 'sleepy ducklings' and then after 3/4 days move them into a bigger cage with heat lamps..

  • @suej3169 ok thnxs!

  • I have a duckling egg in a glass aquarium and a heating lamp over it, i check it reguraly to see if its warm. even waking myself up at nights to check. im not quite sure how long its going to be before it hatches... or if it even hatches, ive checked under a light and i can see the litle guy moving around. im just not sure when he's going to hatch... any suggestions on what to feed and keep him i once he hatches? (i wanna name him jericho.. plz be a mallard!)

  • @F3nR1RF4ng Do you have the right humidity, tempurature and do you also turn the egg? If everything is right, hatching should be flawless. Once hes out, you should feed him fresh fruits and vegatables that are finely chopped or chick/duckling feed, don't feed them seed.

  • @zimtower i appreciate you taking the time to explain a little bit to me, unfortunately the duckling didnt make it. :/ but, i guess thats what happens sometimes. still. much appreciated for the information.

  • great

now it thinks that the camera is its mommy

  • You should have let it stand up ,Thanks for the upload ,Great effort!

  • @Mullikaji1 thanks for viewing. it was not strong enough to stand as they are so exhausted from getting themselves out of the eggshell. they take 2/3 hours to gain their strength then there is no stopping them.

  • so cute

  • I was at a pond feeding ducks when a i saw a duck egg floating in the water. My sister got it out and it is now in our geko cage. Pray for it PLEASE.

  • @hdjdrkff How did that go? Did it hatch??

  • @sweetie4pie sadly not. We put it under a tree hoping it would hatch there but my dog stepped on it. All that was inside the egg mas a teaspoon of clear goop and 2 worms.

  • can i buy one off u?

  • i only just saved a flock of baby ducklings today!

and they r just the most amazing little creatures! <3

  • And that's how much he just doesn't want to come out. XDD just kidding.

  • What happens since their mom is not there to clean them and feed them and all? Just curious. Seems like it kind of breaks from the natural scheme of things when the mom is not there. The little guy seemed to be looking around and saying "ok, now what"?

  • It's sooo cute! :D

  • It must be hard to hold back and not help them I felt like if it was forever I just wanted to go in ther and help

  • how long after incubation did these ducklings hatch?

mine is about 4 days late, i'm kinda concerned =/

  • @nitterpixi they take approx 28 days, days is a bit late, did u put it in a diary when u first put them in?

  • @nitterpixi lol :D I hope it's alright. =\

  • woow thanks bro, werry nicee

  • so cute

  • how long does it take for them to hatch?

  • @mitchthefearless 28 days..thanks for viewing..

  • i have Khaki campbell ducks at day 8 today hope they hatch!! i see them move around when i candle them.

  • @URAbunnylover2 ah that sweet good luck and well done.thanks for viewing

  • So cute!! I currently have Pekin and Mallard eggs incubating so &&cross your fingers&&

  • @ZachsPride fingers crossed..good luck,thanks for viewing

  • She was probably trying to get used to the light too (well if her eyes are open right off the bat, which I'm not sure if they are or not). lol

  • Beautiful :)

  • im hatching ducks right now and im not shure what to do now.they have come out of the shell but are very weak. one of them cheeps but the other one doesnt ...i need help as i dont want to kill them......HELP!!!

  • I am pretty sure you won't kill them, I have a lot of experiance with hatching and looking after Indian runner ducks. They are bound to be very weak after they hatch, It takes a lot of effort to break out of the shell. They need time to rest. Hmmmm, if one cheeps but the other dosn't i suggesest you leave it for 24 hours in the incubator to dry off, before getting it out and checking if it has made it. GOOD LUCK

  • Thanks for the vid :)

  • @winobliss he was talking about killing other little babies by crushing them in rocks!!! and other stuff about killing innocent animals! either that or he was spamming.

  • Comment removed

  • Woah That Wasnt Supposed To Happen Lol :P!!

  • Aw.. it looked like it was breathing really hard too. ;[ It's sad you can't help them... but.. D; Even if you could, I don't see how you can.. ;A;

  • wow, poor guy, he had a tough time getting out.

  • how can I get a duckling or the hatching eggs? And what kind of light do you use to hatch them?

  • u can get hatching eggs on ebay and you need an incubator to hatch them,,thanks for viewing

  • Nice video!! I have a question. My ducklings hatched. Is there any danger of a drake attacking the ducklings??

  • @suej3169 sometimes you can make an incubater just use a shoebox shredded newspaper a very warm water bottle
