  • "It's gonna be beautiful.... like my wife"

Such a great line.. well said

  • is a classical guitar vesion of fur elise playing in the background?

  • good job

  • I don't know how much I'm going to learn about being a luthier, but I am definately going to learn alot about carpentry technique and safety. although it would appear that you're only measuring everything once, which goes against conventional teachings.

  • @baeirattack You will probably not learn much about safety, either. I get criticized for operating my equipment in an unguarded manner, and I would stress that if you're new to the craft, you should follow the guidelines in your equipment manuals on safe operating procedures, not some video on YouTube.

The guitar took about 80 hours total to build. The videos I have on YouTube amount to just over two hours. There is plenty of remeasuring going on while the camera isn't rolling!

  • Hello:)

Nice guitar, thanks for your videos!

What tools do you used to do neck?

  • why dont you use metric and not inches. Inches are by no means accurate

  • @johnoconnor99 I don't use metric because I learned on the Imperial system, and every tool in my shop (excluding the Festools) are also on the Imperial system. I don't see why it makes any difference. "Inches are by no means accurate"... this sentence is really quite ignorant. Please explain how metric is any more or less accurate than the Imperial system.

  • @buildaguitar For me the imperial sistem and the metric are no less effective than the other...

  • @buildaguitar Shhhhhh. I don't think he knows he's British.

  • i would have cut the curly maple directly in half then put a strip of the rosewood down the center of the headstock, but thats just me...

  • what was the website you got the kit from?

  • @justishawkins lmii.com

  • Could anyone tell me the name of the guitar piece being played at the start of part two of this series?

  • @rdzron fur elise by Beethoven

  • @rdzron metallica enter sandman (rolf)

  • te tengo envidia amigo

  • i would have used a palm sander but hey im lazy so good job, great precision

  • great video, wish i could work with wood like this video shows.

  • whats the song around 2:29 ? please respond

  • @Supercharge18

the song from the start of this video up to 4:12 is Für Elise by Beethoven

  • @benedictguerrero Thanks bro =)

  • @Theibanezkid i meant to say why not buy a guitar, sorry.

  • @Firstbieber Because if you watch the first video, it's a present for his wife, who wants to learn to play guitar. He's building a guitar because he enjoys woodwork and wants the guitar to be unique.

  • great choice in using that piece of curly maple on the headstock, just beautiful.maple rocks and so does these vids.

  • great job! just one question, is that contraption you 'shave' off the edges at 0:35 just a blade? greetings from holland

  • @crashedcan It's called a scraper......hope this helps...!

  • kool y not build a guitar

  • @Firstbieber isnt it obvious he is building a guitar ?

  • Fun!
