  • i played rizzo for a musical too. she's an excellent character to play. she has actual depth. :)

    wonderful voice!

  • dont have to put so much vibrato to make your note last and stay on pitch :) try not to force it so loud... and its sooo like the movie!!! make it your own!!! your interpretation!!! but you have a great voice!

  • @captainsqueaky Thanks for the comment, I'm sure she'll appreciate the compliment if she reads this, but just to clarify.. vibrato is a vocal inflection that happens naturally. It doesn't have any effect on the length of sound and often times it's a bad vibrato that makes a person sound out of tune.. But I'll agree that she has a great voice.. gave me goosebumps every night sitting back stage!

  • amazing voice!

  • i don't think rizzo would ever wear runners

  • She is awesome!!!!!!

  • @ishiandfluffygirl agreed!

  • dude shes frickin awesome

i played rizzo too, it's on youtube. how the hell did you guys get so many views!? mine only has 70! haha. not on my account though :)

like the acting isnt the best but the girl can belt, and its not screechy. it's a hard song to sing

    well done :)

  • @fiddledidi lol.. ya know, I've often wondered how the view count got so high on all my grease videos.. the highest viewed video has 86,000+ views already... and btw, I agree, I love her voice!

  • Oh my gosh... I just got the goosebumps listening to this too! Wow!

  • Wow. excellent voice.

  • powerhouse voice.

  • Wow! Power house!

    Great Belting!

The only thing is, there's a shift when she realizes that "she could hurt someone like her". Meaning that Rizzo did end up hurting Sandy out of spite/jealousy. I think thats such an intense moment to look at Sandy to make the connection and then sing back to the audience out of shame to look at her.

That is the smallest detail but you are amazing!

  • SOUNDS JUST LIKE HER! AMAZING!

  • your great i love it !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow, you're friggan amazing. you sound just like rizzo. omg. that was great.

  • amazing! absolutely captured the emotion from the song in grease. loved it.

  • Don't see any negative comments you might be referring to but anyone who left one is an idiot and should be ignored. Stockard Channing would be proud.

  • amazing. amazing.

  • Very powerful performance. I loved it! I only hope I can do as well.

  • amazing powerly voice! Very nice to listen to...thnx for a great moment of singing!

    greetings from the Netherlands

  • I absolutely love your voice. It is so rich and strong. In fact I practiced along with your version to prepare me to do it at karaoke. Of course I didn't do it as well as you but I still got very good remarks. Keep up the singing girl!

  • i LOVE her voice, it fits the character so well, and it's very powerful.

  • No need to feel bad about a hobby cuz you fuckin' rock Kendra! You gave me goosebumps sitting backstage every night!

  • Thanks. Coming from you that is such a compliment. I think we had such a talented cast. It was the most fun I had had in a long time. I hope all is well w/ you and your fabulous pipes!

  • Dude, you rocked this song out, all those HATERS are jealous!!!!

  • i love u girly this is cc love your voice alot dont listen wat those jerks say keep up the good work

  • Whatevs.

  • the acting in the begining was stiff and out of character. watch prnunciation as well. the singing was alright. a bit boring to be honest.

  • you're amazing!

  • more blocking PLEASE

it would have enhanced this performance soooo much!

  • very rizzo-like!

  • Yes she has an amazing voice.. but she use it wrong in this song..... Power is NOT everything... Im missing the feelings in this one...

  • she kinda has the same range and voice as rizo kinda

  • I like this girl's singing voice........

  • Great job!

Stockard Channing all over the place :)

  • amazing....

  • Kudos to this performer for not "giving it all away" in the first verse. This song is one of the few emotionally deep songs in this show. Its often just "yelled" the entire way through. I always tell my students, "you've sang this same melodic line 3 times...I'm bored. Entertain me!" This Rizzo did that. Brava!

  • damn right. HERE HERE!

  • wow she's got an incredible voice! :)

  • Not bad

  • im sorrt but very blah for my taste.

  • Finally a version with a tenor sax!

That sax part is the only reason why this song has the color that it has...but the only thing that needs to be different is is the feel of the first few notes. It sounded like the person playing it was just reading the music and not playing it with emotion.

but, it was still good ^^

  • I think the girl who played Rizzo in Grease On broadway is better than this one.

  • This wasn't broadway hunny...of course she's going to be better...*rolling eyes* ITS BROADWAY lol

  • Our Rizzo Is Sooo Better Nd Shes Only In Yr 7!! Im Surprized Sandy Cn Still Hear Wiid Yuu Shoutiin In Er Ear!! Fuk Mee Man

  • lol... yeah I'm pretty sure a 12 year old can belt like that...

  • Umm Yh She Can

  • dynamite voice, dynamite performer... i blame the blocking for the lack of energy in this. she could be moving around the stage more, using her space... which i'm sure isn't her fault, it's probably the directors. looking at the other videos from this production, they seem to have the same problem.

  • SHE DOES SOUND GOOD THOU

  • IN FACT SHES KNOB ON

  • Rizzo you are amazing, and your voice is VERY powerful. Regardless of all those other comments, I'd give you a standing ovation. you rocked it girl!

  • good job! but out rizo was waaayyy better!!!

  • i'm surprised Sandy can still hear.

  • whaha :D

  • lol XDD

  • our rizzo was much better...she was only 14!!

  • REALLY? How did she get the part?? I'm trying out for Rizzo, and i'm wondering

  • Her voice IS Amazing, but, this is when Rizzo's supposed to Open-Up and let out all her feelings. I just don't hear it here.

  • Floored floored floored by the singing.

I do professional musical theater and she solidly, vocally kicks the butt of many a rizzo's I have seen perform.

This song is supposed to be a reflective, open moment for Rizzo. Rizzo does a lot of running around in "Look at me I'm Sandra Dee" so I can see why the director would choose to have less movement. This is not to say there couldn't have been a bit more movement though.

    Anyways ... great job!

  • WOW!!! what a voice! i played rizzo in a production of grease!! that was great you did the song proud xx

  • it was good but she didnt act with it much

    she just stood there

in the film and the original play rizzo doesnt do that

    she walks around whilst singing

it looks abit plain and fearful

but apart from that the singing was good

    it was great ...//

can uu please watch my videos

and comment bye for now xox

  • she can sssssiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnng real good it was awesome

  • can't act.

    but DAMN. What a voice!

  • You don't even get to see any of her acting in this clip. Unless you were there in the actual theater seat...don't assume anything. And if you did actually see it...then you're entitled to your own oppinion.

  • whoa she sure put the emotion into it. what a strong voice, i love her.

  • yeah as a response to this... I loved it cuz every night, she'd get so into her character that when she'd finish this scene she'd come back stage and actually be crying...

  • wow, that makes her ten times as awesome.

  • Hi to everyone. Does someone have the Grease libretto I've been looking for it since a long time but I can't find it. Please if someone have it send it to my mail. cesarmusic88 at hotmail Thanks a lot.

  • 0.o how old is she?!

  • I believe mid-20's

  • Love the voice, her just standing there is kinda boring.

  • Hey, I sang a version of this song, and I'd like everyone to check it and leave me comments.

  • awesome voice...but soooo boring....come on...you have to sell it!! we need to feel rizzo's pain...she's so vulnerable in this scene...i should know...i was rizzo in my school's musical a couple months ago!

  • Yeah...because Highschool theater is soooo deep. *rolling eyes*

  • Ehhh.

  • she looks really old to be playing rizzo...and her acting could use some work

  • Old? You do realise the orginal actress was nearly in her mid thirties right? It really doesn't matter to be honest as long as she doesn't go overboard, say 45.

    Anyway, well done.

  • well, in the movie, they made Rizzo actually look like a High Schooler. lol. ^_^

  • she waz ok but i can't picture her as Rizo she is 2 old 2 b Rizo and she needs 2 put more emotion into her singing!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dynamite voice. Not so strong on the acting, but still. Damn.

  • lets just say no one beats the orignal rizzo from the movie. coz shes my favourite i have seen the musical at the liverpool empire couple of years ago and that was my favourite rizzo. once i like the first person i hear i like the others but there not as good.

  • i thought it woz a bit borin....

  • BIG voice! . . very nice ! . . needs some more 'emo' !

  • good voice, bad timeing and lacking alot of emotion need to work on the acting

  • Her voice is amazing!

  • IS THIS THE NEW GRESES ??

  • the chick playing Rizzo looks old.. lol no offense!

  • shes ok

  • she may not be doing what she's suppose to be doing but her voice is amazing

  • I agree with steelvenom. She needs to walk around, and she's really not acting much. Still though, it's not bad. Although her timing is a little off.

  • um she is thinking about the the pregnancy aand she is sad would you be walking all arounfd or would you be frozen with fear

  • she can sing!

  • My God she sounds like someone...a famous singer/actress. I just can't think of who

  • wow shes amazing !!!!

  • she is lost. why is she not acknolwledging sandy?? this aint happenin. she yells on key though

  • THANK YOU!! i thought it was supposed to a song being DIRECTED to sandy... but that yell thing it's supposed to make me feel for rizzo rite... i felt nothin

  • same ehre. The preformance, was good, regarding her voice and all, but it just leaves a lot of people feeling... uhh Hollow. (haha that's the only word i could think of)

  • I think she's awesome! fantastic voice.

  • DAMN!!! Her voice is HOT

  • She's OK...I have other favorites.

  • She needs to walk around a little. The whole thing is boring.

She also doesn't seem to be a great actress.

Her voice is okay, but she doesn't show a character. All she does is belt it out.

Our Rizzo was WAY better. She sounded better than Stockard Channing and was a fantastic actress.

  • OMG i thought i was the only one who realized that!! it was borin i got nothin from her then she runs offstage... i THOUGHT sandy was supposed to go off cryin to her crib to do the reprise

  • Every director wants something DIFFERENT...they did what they were "supposed to do". *shakes head* Everyone just assumes that they are allowed to follow the script just right...as an actor or actress you have to do as directed...and you can only get so much from directors who don't really have a vision...meaning less quality to the musical's and play's they are in charge of. Generally...everyone really did the best they could do in such a situation.

  • wow amazing!!!!

  • wow! she's got a fantastic voice!

  • *gasp* My song!!! But she does it A LOT better....

  • her voice is really good, i just don't see the acting. she needs to move around the stage more. i was waiting for her left had to leave her hip for sucha long time.

  • She's got a great voice...it sounds a lot like Ms. Channing's...are you sure she's not lip-singing?

  • lol... nope I was definately sitting backstage while she was singing... hehe

  • Oh ok. Good. The only thing I don't like is that she gets super loud sometimes and I have to cover my ears, but her voice is great.

  • yeah. i thought my earbuds would break, she got so loud. but her voice is pretty good, but yuo don't really "feel" Rizzo's pain.

  • Amazing!

  • If it were me and I was doing that song ... I would sing to the audicene hence her looking into "space" as you put it ... and she's really not singing to anyone she's really singing to herself trying to make herself belive what she is saying.

  • Well Put! ;o)

  • The idea is that she isn't communicating with the audience...she's "living her life" and although she could have looked at the chick more...she did as good a job as she was allowed by the directors...and if you were getting sad and dreamy....would YOU look out and try to make eye contact with people who aren't there? lol.

  • Would you put your thoughts into song? No. Lol, it's musical...things are slightly different with an audience

  • o.o wow, nice comment! ;)

  • Why is she just staring off into space? Don't get me wrong... she's got an amazing voice, but as far as the acting goes... I'm not seeing much.

  • amazing voice o.o I stumbled across this and once i listen, i cant stop myself from relistening. Its so addicting and I'm in love with the color of her voice. Wonderful :) Very fitting for Rizzo- indeed

  • wwo! i love her voice

  • Very good. :-) I'm impressed.

  • beautiful & stylistic voice - great for the character!

  • wow shes very Rizzo. lovely voice.

  • Awsome Voice! it was so good. The best person to sing that song!

  • Great voice! One of my favorites! :)
