I've flown with that many times and have always been happy with LOT.

You get as smooth take offs and landings as it gets when flying with LOT.

Polish pilots were amongst the best in WWII, their Spitfire squadron in the RAF shot down more German planes than any other ! They had the balls to do what others thought was impossible ! Well done Polski, if you aren't already a TOP Captain you should be tomorrow !

Officials said they had a leak in hydraulics just after take off from Newark.

flaps etc. on spare(electric?) but couldnt lower the gears.

so good the machine was controllable anyway....

@AudiROCKS Passengers have said that they thought the plain landed on gear, they haven't fell or hear anything, they realized that they haven't land on a gear when they saw fire from the engine.

As I know in Russia in this situation plane lands on a fire-fighting vehicles. They achieve plane landing speed and then plane goes down right on these vehicles.

To jest niesamowite. Słyszałem w telewizji, że gdyby przechylił się podczas lądowania o 10 stopni (tak 10 stopni. Możecie sobie sprawdzić na kątomierzu) to by się obrócił i było by kaputt.

@biorgymd The funny thing was, that a lot of passangers started clapping after the smooth touchdown, thinking that the landing gear did come out. They realized that they did a belly landing only after the flight attendants popped the emergency slides and started screaming for everyone to get out. That dude did an awesome job. I personally know a few pilots from LOT, but never had the privilege of meeting him, yet. :)
