  • Kinda silly asking "Wo ist der Bahnhof" inside a Bahnhof... isn't it?

  • Maybe old people (50+) dont speak english, but most others do.. Especially the youth..

Germans may not may look very friendly, but if you ask an honest question youll sure get one back!

  • You will always find someone who speaks English and even if they don't they will help you as much as they can. You don't need a survival training to come here!

  • @Rohhaut I agree, they will help and all will be well. I use the "survival" title to get people to watch :) i am glad you watched and commented! thank you so much! please subscribe!

  • @woltersworld I really enjoy your vids - BUT they look like a biologist discovers new species... Europeans are NOT a new Lebensform. Europe is NOT on a different planet! And Americans are always welcome all over europe. Don't be shy, we love you!

  • @Rohhaut I know. This was one of my first videos and was thinking of making these videos for some of my american friends that were a bit "scared" to come to europe. So was showing them that europe is fine and they need not worry :) i love your biologist comment. it is really true though. thanks or the great comments and the love :)

  • @Rohhaut

*lol* We're no Aliens - 90% of the white Americans have european roots, English, Irish or even German. .

  • @HesseJamez Yep, I know! And Europeans will always welcome you! There's no need to take lessons to come to europe.

  • XD i remember how much problems my foreign wife had with stuff like "Ausfahrt" vs. "Ausgang" and stuff like that

  • @vhwie I still chuckle when i say "Ausfahrt" :) thanks for watching and commenting. I hope you will subscribe... now you have me with a smile on my face :)

  • @vhwie

Our word-connections might be confusing, I'm sure. Seperate them and translate by word: Aus-Fahrt = out-drive (exit on a road) ----- Aus-Gang = out-walk (exit in a building)

  • Lol our trains are boring.... If you visit germany rent a car and try the autobahn and if you rent a car try a bmw m3 or m5 and remember you have do a reserveation for the m-series cost some extra cash but its worth it :D .

A trip on the autobahn is for foreingers a real crazy thing.... .

  • @Tekdiver1981 I still remember going between berlin and hannover in our "Bon Jovi" car... we were at 200 kph and we were getting passed by BMWs and Mercedes like we were standing still. it is an expereince for sure! thanks for watching and commenting. please subscribe

  • I like watching your videos. I've been an expat in the Czech Republic and would have been very glad if I had tips like this available. :)

Btw, one minor mistake: The ticket-counter is called "Schalter" (with a [ʃ] at the beginningh, like in 'ship'). "Halter" is something that holds sth.

  • @JuengerEsau Thanks for the Schalter help. Much appreciated. I have a few videos for Prague but nothing like i have for Germany :( but i will do my best to put something together! Thanks for watching adn commenting! please subscribe!

  • The most of all Germans have average shool knowledge of understanding english.

And all of them can help you if you don´t overcharge them.

We have less problems to understand english than to speak.

  • It's pointless to learn to ask: "Wo ist der Bahnhof?" What, if you can't understand the answer? "Also, dann gehen Sie erstmal zu der Kreuzung dort drüben, dann müssen Sie rechts rum und immer geradeaus, bis Sie bis..." Make clear that you don't understand German and then hope, that the other one can speak English. That's better.

  • Wo ist der Bonhoff? Sicher schon in Rente ;)

  • That bullet train in the station is a Swiss Railways pendolino.

  • @Trainmaster189 thank you for the info and thanks for watching!

  • The Night Train is cheaper, BUT, make sure to sleep with your arms and body tightly holding onto your luggage! Also if you miss your original train schedule, you are still good, that ticket is a guarente to go from one place to another. I had missed my train once , my first time on the train too, and I was able to still travel even though I missed my original schedule.
