Ok nice job, but it just didn't make $ense that you would buy the TT01D kit only to replace almost everything except the polycarbonate shell. Also, $400 SGD for a TT01D kit is a rip off. Anyway I'm just wondering how you made the grille? Tips would be appreciated.

One more thing to add. Get some "clear decal papers" for a printer and print out the "Block" on the window :P Neat thing. Used to own a TT-01, but spur gear always trashed after 1 min with a 13T BL. :'(

thats intense! I love this man, I think the little aluminum versions of knuckles and control arms are so so cool. I do a lot of club racing and autocrossing with the SCCA and I these RC cars are so cool. if it werent for the body supports sticking out of the roof in the back you could do some clever scaling and you would have me fooled!

@danielalien For me drifting is all about angle. Not speed. Yes for speed you need to make your car lighter. But for drifting, i guess its ok to make it heavier. It made me easier to control the car.

Aluminium is more dense than plastic and is quite a bit heavier pr. volume. But I /do/ know it's much stronger, so if it was for adding strength, I totally understand. You don't loose weight by using aluminium versions of plastic parts though.

Props, very nicely done and a great shell paint job and sticker work. But I do have a couple questions. Why a TT over a TA or TB chasis? And why did you start with a kit as there's maybe a half dozen original parts on that car at most? Don't get me wrong, you did a great job but it seems you'd have been better served just getting the sprues that you needed and saving the money spent on the kit.

Sorry mate, but putting so much money into TT-01 is waste of money. TT-01 is okay for "serious hobby" driving, but for that amount of money, you can have top-class body from XRAY.

I own 2 TT-01 bodies (one modified for rally conditions, and one for circuit), so I can tell, I have some experience with the body. To me so much alloy on the chasis will cause some serious damage to it once you crash it.

@bolpkia951 Of course you need a servo for your steering. Any servo will do. There are lots of brands like HiTec, Futaba, Sanwa etc etc. For my TT-01D, i used the stock Tamiya servo.
