I used the same elevon setup on a depron f-16 I built a long time ago.
I didnt like it because it would wash out in the turns because as you roll and stick back the middle of the wing is now pushing out in the turn.
Did you notice a similar effect?
It did fly really well though.

I used the middle of a starbucks cup, it was easy to make it bend into and oval.

This was a tank too, I would say close around 25 ounces or more. It is about 40 inches long with a 28 inch wing span.
