  • u forgat the apu gen

  • What's the name of the flight sim?

  • Just set a new MIMO 720s touch as CDU of my IFly737, you need to use FSX windowed, undock the CDU window and drop it on the touchscreen, but, in Win 7, if using an USB Displaylink video monitor, it's also needed (thanks to MadzeH84 from Aerosoft forum) to re-run aero interface (disabled by FSX). To do that, just create a .bat file, writing inside those strings:

    net stop uxsms

    net start uxsms

    exit

Save and run it after FSX. Your MIMO monitor, now, work like a charm!!

  • What flight sim are you using for this?

  • where can i make the purchase ?

  • @fayboyto At any retailer - online, in store etc. where they have such touch screen monitors available.

    Perhaps try Amazon.

  • the only thing i dont know on the fmc is the zfw what is that

  • @MrStefanbergmann Zero Fuel Weight

  • Works this witch iphone

  • lemonface, how did you get your's to work? I have the 720s and the FMC on the mimo just turn's black whenever I touch it. Did you have to do any special setup? Tell me how you got it to work please.

  • Dude you forgot the APU Gen

  • my new screen does support that size and tryeid fast yesterday and works so that the key point. get a screen that supports 1024x768 a bit iritating as the first screen was 7 inch the new is 12.1 and only cost whit shipping and all that 13EUR more. from agerman company.

  • I have a touchscreen (12" which is a little big for a CDU so I fit a couple more windows beside it) too and I use it for the same thing; I bought it off of eBay for about $60 without cables but I bought those also (in total about $75 USD) and it honestly is a lot better including price difference from like FlyEngravity's version

  • Hi. Great vid-thanks for posting. Were you using touchbuddy for the CDU touchscreen? If so, would you mind sharing your profile?

  • can this for a iphone 3g?

    greeting!

  • want my advice? put the screen protector on and use a stylus.

  • I got the same set up but whenever I try to drag the FMC over to the other screen, it just goes black. The buttons don't work. I was getting an error about resolution when the FSX started. My regular second monitor is not working now either for gauge windows. The buttons are non-functional. I have two regular monitors and the mimo. I downloaded the drivers for the mimo from the website. Not sure what to do... Win7 64.

  • @1Putt4eagle Sorry to hear about your problem. The only thing I can suggest is to check your windows' computer resolutions for the different monitors, and if available, make your main monitor number1; your second, large, monitor number 2 and your mimo to number 3. (The buttons being non-functional can be caused by not having the UPDD application installed).

  • @1Putt4eagle Hi, just purchased the um-720s monitor and got exactly same your problem on win7 64bit with dual main monitors. if you has been able to solve the problem, can you explain me how you did, please?

  • @1Putt4eagle Never did figure it out. Sorry. It's disconnected.

  • what software i need to display FMC from PMGD MD-11 on touchscreen phone with android soft. ???

  • Thanks - I wonder does this work fullscreen in FSX instead? I think you are using FS9.

  • @jonnyc747 It only works when you can 'undock' a window; if you can;t, such is the case with FS9, then you can only use it in windowed mode.

  • Ok, question, if you undock it in windowed mode then click back to fullscreen mode, will it stay there or dissapear or just not go back to fullscreen?

  • @drewst10 It will disappear as it is a separate entity from your graphics-processing computer.

  • Hi, how do you set this up to work in fullscreen? In windowed mode you undock windows and then drag across to new screen but can you not go into fullscreen again? Windowed mode is rubbish for me.

  • @ringo747 Sorry for the delay in replying.

The simple answer is that you cannot set it up in fullscreen. It has to be windowed mode. You can however make the menu bars black, so it 'appears' fullscreen.

As you have to 'undock' and fullscreen does not allow that , it cannot be done. (Unless you can undock the panels somehow another way)..

  • Great!

Does it also work with other MIMO displays? Or only with the UM-740?

Is it only USB? Who you got the FMC into the MIMO? Only by a drag?

Can you write a manual with hints for the installation and put it on e.g. on Rapid?

The community is glad to here more about your project!

    Regards

  • @DeeJayJeton It should work with all MIMO usb-based displays.

You have to 'undock' the window via FS then drag it over to the screen you want the particular window displayed on.

  • does it lag at all? or cause any large cpu performance issuess? e.g. if i put the PFD is will it lag at all displaying the bank angles or speed?

  • @Philipvjensen I have not noticed any lag, at all.

As it does not render the graphics' but rather, displays them. - If you use any aero effects, that will slow the performance down; as the CPU has to render the graphics for both FS and the monitor.

  • does it lag at all? or cause any large cpu performance issuess?

  • fsx or xplane ??

  • @onligne Any simulator that allows windows to be dragged 'out of game'.

  • @onligne Any simulator that allows windows to be dragged 'out of game'.

    This was with Fs9.

  • @lemonfacesmells ok sorry for sending twice the same question I thought the first did not pass

  • well hello i just want to know how you got it working as i have a mymo touchscreen and testet it on flight1 md80 super pro but could start flightsim whit it on then i turned it off and started fs and turned it on and placed the fms at touch screen in windowed mode. but no changes happens to touch screen only in the aircrafts virtuel . so dont know what to do

  • @KAPTEJNLN I am having the same basic problem making it impossible to setup the aircraft with the touchscreen with the CDU inside it.

  • wow thats some crazy shit man haha

  • where can i buy this one?

  • @bcahn1233

    in shop ?

dude, learn how to use google

  • @pogodapogoda no

  • @bcahn1233

    yes

  • hey how are you today? i just watched your video.. i like it so where can i buy this one can you send me site? my e-maii is chan236@nate.com

    thx

  • hey, thats an awesome set-up. looking into this myself. So all you did was undock the FMC and move it down to the Mimo?

  • Silly question: Can one person use the mouse whilst another fills in the FMC with this touch screen?

  • Hi there mate, I just go one of these and it looks great.

However, FSX has problems starting stating that the hardware doesn't meet minimum requirements. If I unplug the mimo it's OK and loads fine.

What did you do to get fsx running with the mimo?

Cheers for any help you can provide.

  • I have been playing with this for a bit......took ages to calibrate - software needs attention.

If you set up the monitor so that the Mimo logo is to your right you'll have a much better viewing angle, the stand will take up more space as it will be the wrong way round and lower but it feels more solid when you push the screen. This also means you won't turn if off by mistake ( which have done a few times )

For others, this will only work in Windowed Mode. Take note as fps can be affected.

  • That's really cool buddy, Is that the USB Mimo? - I thought they were not compatible with direct X software ( i.e. fsx) as they need videocard hardware capabilities to run as another monitor....which is not available via USB

If I'm wrong, that's really cool.....thanks for the upload.

  • Sorry for the long time taken to reply. I had intended to reply to your comment immediately, but I got a bit busy and haven't gotten round to it, until now.

You'd be surprised - it runs any Directx/grahical software flawlessly, although if you use the Aeri feature that really affects performance, as it has no in built graphics card / accelerator.

-But, it can run something off of your video card just fine, i.e an extension.

  • Awesome. Thank you.

  • What's the software you are using for the FMC?

  • It was the Captain Sim 757.

    With Navigraph Airac cycle 0912.

  • How did you adjust the touch sensitivity? I just received mine, and I find that I have to press way too hard.

  • I don't think I've adjusted anything.

    - I have edited the calibration settings though, via the UPDD.

    Works perfect for me!

I sometimes find that supporting the back of the device while pressing increases the accuracy and means you apply less pressure for it to register a touch.

  • how much was that?

  • £145/ $195

  • that is a very good idea! and for use with both boeings and airbus. am i right in assuming you just undock the FMC panel and drag it over to the touchscreen? 5/5

  • Yes, that is correct.

Just 'Undock' the panel and drag it over.

The monitor works as an 'extended dispay' so anything can be put on it really, I just got it for FS but it is sold as being able to be used for anything.

Comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera aswell although I don't use it.

It was admittedly a bit hard to configure at first but I've since adjusted the settings and where I had to use my thumb in the video, I no longer have too as it is more sensitive.
