I am with Power Brake Service, we do performance brake upgrades and we need to get ahold of any of the Typhoon, Syclone, turbo GM trucks of that era to do a video of. Turbos rob vacuum from the brake booster and we retrofit hydraulic brakes to solve that. Check out my page to see what we did with a Turbo Buick and a T-bird SC, we've done the Turbo GM trucks before, but want to do a video to show clients how to install it, please let me know of somebody in the community in Southern California.

@dacraze1 And he did that on a stock turbo?

I've been around the syclone/typhoon world way before 2002, nobody I know of has been 11's on a stock turbo/stock motor until this. Chuck Blossom did when he ran his sy in super stock, but the motor was not "stock", had headers, cam, etc. Be curious if your information is correct what his build really was.

Totally Stock unopened Motor, Stock Injectors, Razor Alky injection. 25 psi of boost & Lots of tuning.

And it redlines at 5 grand? lol My 850 T5 VOLVO can cruise at 3 grand doing 100mph and doesnt redline till 6 grand.

Buick Gn's are AWESOME! Parts are not hard to find. stock block cars will runs 10's! That is AMAZING for a small 3.8 motor.Buick GN's are the innovaters in the Turbo world. They started it all and now we are fortunate to have had GM give us the Typhoons and Syclones in the 90's.! HIGH TECH 20 YEARS ago is AMAZING! TURBO CARS RULE!! Spool on.

i really dont see what the appeal is to turbo imports, we have done just as much if not more turbo research in the USA. tell me it wouldn't have been tight to buy one of these off the lot and whop on a corvette or camero or a discusting mustang.

btw i would much rather have a Grand National then a Supra ANYDAY of god's given time for us in the entire universe. Is that clear enough.

ya you said it. my bosses buddy had one . those are one wild ride. if you arent careful when you hit the gas they can pull you off the road. it had 300hp. 4.3 is one tough little motor. GM PERFORMANCE!

@jhowe67 no the turbo was not an import, it was made by Garrett an AMERICAN company. Now the company is called Honeywell, but they still keep the Garrett trade mark for obvious reasons. Well it might be obvious for some at least LOL.

The syclone uses a turbo 262.. or 4.3. Not the 3.8.

the buick 3.8v6 turbo is a rocket but I've been told that they are fragile/unreliable (in stock) and that spare parts ar difficult to find around... is that true?
