Anyone got any link too, or anything on "Chopper"? He used to surf on a hoverboard. Great Character, got me into skateboarding as a kid lol

I don't think I got it from the first edition, but I did get every episode of Action until they started censoring it. I was well hacked off when it was neutered then merged with Battle, but 2000 AD made up for the loss of Action.

I started buying 2000AD after being a fan of Tornado, which became "2000AD and Tornado" for a short while. I seem to remember being scared mightily by the ABC warriors strip when they visited a plague-ridden town; Deadlock riding his sled-bike up the side of a huge skyscraper sticks in my head too. Bisley ROCKS and my fave strips were Rogue Trooper (WHY hasn't Ed Harris been approached to play Rogue in a movie?) and Halo (Swoon) Jones.... ABC's being a close third (Big Jobs!)

Got 3 copies of number one ans 2 copies of number 2 - one with the stickers. Got every copy up to the year 2000, then sort of stopped buying it. Brilliant laugh and how much I miss something to look forward to every week....COME BACK BILL SAVAGE ALL IS FORGIVEN
