  • Theyr'e coming out with high capacity 2500mah AA's ... I take it it doesn't do a very good job on those?

  • @therandomdot First off, a lot of those high current batteries are overrated and often under delivers. Secondly, the charger should not have any problem charging it because it will put out a constant charge with the specified current until it finishes the charging cycle and detects the delta drop in current once charge is complete.

  • For christ's sake, AAA don't fit in ?!??!

  • @SOULFLYSI AAA fit in the lower bottom set of contacts (below the AA slot).

  • sorry for my stupid question, but what's trickle charge? Thanks.

  • @orestesdd No such thing as stupid question. Trickle charge is a low current charge that kicks in after the battery is fully charged, so it does not overcharge your battery but at the same time keeps the battery at full capacity. That's the bad thing about cheapo chargers, if it's charging rate is 500mA, it will keep pushing 500mA to the battery even when it's fully charged and many times, this will ruin the battery.

  • @dial2fast Thanks for explaining this term. Now I know I can throw away my old cheapo charges since I bought the bc-1000 model which is being shipped by amazon in a few days.

  • Any idea what the difference is between bc-700 and bc-1000 models? Anyone? Thanks.

  • @orestesdd If I remember (from a long time ago) the higher model allows for even higher current charging so you can charge it in less time.

  • @dial2fast Thanks. Still I am undecided if I should buy the bc-700 or bc-1000 model.

  • how much time does battery Charger discharge and charge in refresh mode before automatically switches to trickle mode ???

  • @SOULFLYSI The full discharge then charge mode takes a LONG time. You will probably have to let it run overnight. It's really only used if you need to fix a bad cell. But if your batteries are fine, then just charge it like normal.

  • @dial2fast But in >>Refresh<< mode does it automaticly get on trickle ? or not after fixing bateries ??

  • @SOULFLYSI The charger will always go into trickle charge after any full charge. You can't disable the trickle charge.

  • Does it matter which types of batteries I can use? Like, can I use AAA alkaline batteries?

  • @tanory07 Use rechargeable batteries.

  • Please stop supporting these wankers known as Lacrosse. Their customer support is terrible, and many of these chargers of varying revisions have melted batteries. Not only that, those capacities you see on screen? They're wrong. These units overstate capacity. Suggestion: do your homework prior to purchase. You obviously have the internet, use it.

  • @Jason99942 so, whats a good charger to get?

  • when you select "Discharge refresh" does that eventually fully charge the batteries?

  • @bmtimv Yes, it will discharge the battery and then start charging the battery to full. Keep in mind this process takes a long time.

  • @dial2fast will it state "Full" after the process is completed. I have so far been doing this process for about 12 hours on 4 AAA batteries.

  • Great video. One question. How much did you pay for it and what stores carry this charger?

  • @nickelbackrocks16 I bought this online at Amazon for around $40. You won't find this in most retail stores.

  • Hello there, I got one too and I wonder if you know how does it decide how much current to input as its trickle charging because there are different values showing up even the batteries are at the same voltages. Any ideas?

  • @cangatis

There has to be a chip inside that will step down the current once full charge is reached. This is probably in the range of around 50-70mA (my guess). As for different values with same voltage, this charger manages each battery individually, so it adjust the current individually. Voltage measurement and current measurement are two different parameters. Each battery behaves differently.

  • Will there be any danger charging it at the highest rate?

  • @DeuceisLegit

There is no danger at higher rate, the batteries will charge quickly but become quite warm which can possibly reduce the number of charge life cycle.

  • I'm kind of a noob. I know what nimh batteries are. They're rechargeable. How do I know what mode to charge it in? I'm planning on buying it, but I don't want it to be too complex for me to figure out.

  • @DeuceisLegit

This charger can charge both NiCd and NiMh batteries at the 3 preset current settings - no problem there.

  • I want one of those good chargers to charge my AA and AAAs since my "pro" IMAX B8 i think its not much good charging them..

You think its worth getting the B-900 or the B-700 is allready good if im not interested in fast charge?

  • nice charger and nice video.....

  • VG video! I just ordered one today! Am looking forward to working with it. Looks very simple. I plan to keep rechareables in my super-charged AA flashlights, and a couple of portable radios too.

  • can i charge my penis?

  • TheLobsterOfFate - Yes, but charging won't make your AAA size dick any bigger.

  • Thank you, I was really confused my all the instructions about how you have only 8 seconds to decide the mode, and 8 second to decide the charging rate~~~

  • can i charge with non charge able battery?

  • @DJonez46

    No

  • Mine came today, Superb!! My batteries aren't being boiled anymore, This machine looks after them much better. I just charged 4 aaa mixed mah batteries, All cycled to full after complete refresh cycle was completed. They were barely warmer than room temperature, Thanks for the vid!! Great Charger!!

  • @reddog694uk

Happy to hear you like the charger. Thanks for watching my vid.

  • Why is it that BC-700 cost almost thrice than BC-9009? looks the same and the BC-9009 can charge up to 1800 mAh? Good review and the only one on YT.

  • Great, I think I'll get one

  • Can it charge any other type of battery ? Like AAA

    Great walkthrough.

  • @morphin1

    yes,

this charges AA & AAA rechargeable batteries :)
